I hate to say this, but Williams has been playing better than Love in recent games. Seems that way, at least.

Has a higher ceiling for sure.

Becoming pretty clear that the Rams and Lions and eagles are probably the class of the NFC with everybody else being at least one level behind.

Seattle maybe could get into the conversation.

A few interesting side notes in the Steelers chargers game.

Never knew that JK Scott was still in the league. He was the packer punter draft pick that was a bust for us.

At least three ex Wisconsin Badgers on defense for the Steelers.

Benton and Watt and Herbig

Will Brian Daboll be coach of the Giants when we play them next week?

My guess is he keeps his job next year. Dart is clearly the franchise guy and maybe you don't mess with that by bringing in another coach. Nabers alone changes that offense, and you get a big boost with a top WR/CB/S in the coming draft. Giants should be a good team next year.

Nope, he’s gone.

The Bears aren't going away. They have rebuilt the team, they may end up behind the Packers in the standings, but Williams is going to be a stable QB there for a long time and they invested in protecting him this year, that is the difference. Their defense is bad, they don't get to the QB at all, but they have flipped the script on their formula.

There isn't a game on the Packers schedule I'd put money on. Even this weekend has all the makings of a feel-good story where the new coach inspires his struggling team. I'd also remind everyone that the Giants aren't a terrible team, they have led in 4 of these losses by 10+ pts. The Packers, clearly, can be beaten by anybody.

Who was that third string guy we lost to last time we played the Giants? Jimmy cold cuts some Jersey guy right? They made lots of jokes but that guy smoked us. We always play meh on he road in NY even back to the Favre days.

This will be a crazy NFL weekend and could decide who is the #1 and #2 seeds for the NFC.  The Lions play the Eagles and the Rams play the Seahawks.  The Rams, Eagles and Seahawks are all 7-2.  If the Lions win then the Rams or Seahawks will be the #1 seed.  If the Eagles win that leaves them at the top at #1 and the Rams or Seahawks at #2.  The Lions have to win this game against the Eagles for any chance at the #1 seed and possibly the #2 seed also as the Rams and Seahawks have a lighter schedule than the Lions do.  Should be a very interesting weekend.

LOL refs blowing the whistle early to help the Chiefs.

I hope Denver winds there clock today. Time for a changing of the guard.

I'd rather see the Chargers win the division because I can't stand Sean Payton, but those guys are always the ultimate underachievers.

Davante Adams with 1,000 career receptions.

He has had a really good career.

Wonder if he will get a HOF call.

What a stellar debut by Sheduer Sanders.

It won't stop ESPN talking about him continuously over the next week.

Goff is not an elite level QB and I am not even sure he is an above average QB.  I think at best he is an average QB.  He will probably cost the Lions a SB chance.  The Eagles offensively look average and the Lions defensively are nothing special.

The NFC as a whole is nothing special.  I wouldn't be surprised if the top seeds all get upset in the NFC and the same in the AFC other than the Bills.  There just isn't a dominant team in the NFL right now and maybe the Bills are the closest to that type of a team?

I think I may have underestimated the loss of Ben Johnson to the Detroit offense.

LOL. I don’t care how effective the tush push is. Going for it on your own 30 on 4th down up 10 to a team you’ve allowed 6 points to all game is incomprehensibly stupid.

Detroit still can’t do anything though, so probably won’t cost them.
