Missed most of the action tonight. Was it bad Miz, or just one bad pitch (the homer) and some bad luck or something??

Biloxi up 2-0 and Kuehner looked like he struggled early, but settled in. He got through 5 IP and the last two innings i watched he looked good.

Offense is not much - mostly walks. The hit by Miller and the error by the Barons pitcher account for the runs. No hits for Pratt or Wilken tonight, both with walks, And Lara looking clueless in his 4 at bats now, with 3 or 4K? Gameday is not working for me, so I've been watching the last few inning to get caught up.

Miz was inconsistent. He didn't take advantage of favorable counts and hung some pitches to the two hitters in the Knights line-up you can't hang pitches to. He looked good for spurts. I'd say, the outing in total was a mixed bag. Got some key punch outs. Didn't locate consistently. BUT, I also go to: he pitched into the 80's. AND, he took a 98 mph come backer off his right knee and got up under his own power and stayed in the game. Walking away healthy was likely the most important take away.

Cameron rips a two-run double to open the 10th after Zamora walked to open the frame.

Man, Cameron has been absolutely massive for the Sounds since his acquisition. Sounds get back in front. 9-7. Let's go men. Let's take this one!

Hey that was a really nice clean inning from LHP Josh Maciejewski. He keeps the slate clean. Shuckers lead 2-0 into the top of the 7th.

OLIVA!!!! TWO RUN BOMB. LET'S GO!!!!

Oliva has been very good for the Sounds, man. Truly. He is an extremely underrated player. Incredibly athletic in the outfield. Dangerous on the basepaths. Nice swing at the dish. I really like him quite a bit.

Wilken very patient at the plate gets his 2nd walk. He's had a bunch of walk recently.

EMJ Ks in Charlotte. He took a rip. I mean he swung on strike 2 like he wanted to hit a grand slam with the bases empty lol.

And back in Birmingham, Miller GIDP to end the inning for Biloxi on a weird play. 1B came off the bag, Miller never touched 1st base, and he ran around, then the fielder just stepped on the bag. OK. In GameDay it just grounds into a double play.

Mona Ks to end the top 10. But a big 11-7 lead now. And the Sounds have to get 3 outs, before they give up 4 runs. Sounds so simple, so incredibly simple. Yet this is baseball. Nothing is easy. Let's see if Liranzo comes out again or another pitcher.

My first time watching Josh Maceijewski - and looking good. 2 clean innings. SOlid relief for him so far.

Absolutely. He had a very rough debut. Tonight he is completely dominating the zone. The Barrons have nothing for his off-speed. Just got that check swing K on a high 'heater' to end his second inning of work. 2-0 Shuckers still clinging to their lead.

It is LIranzo, and 95 mph heat on the outside part of the plate and the first man is out with a K. That's huge.

Oh no, BUT, a HBP, and runners at 1st and 2nd now, 1 out.

And on the flip side, Kyle Schweitzer for the Barons has been absolutely shut down against the Shuckers. 5 IP, and only allowed 2 hits and gave up 3 walks, but 5 Ks, and the Shuckers have had nothing going since those first 2 innings.

Liranzo battling in the 10th to try to get 2 more outs.

Seigler with a nice play at 2nd to get the force out. Odd that he plays 2B and catcher. I haven't seen him catch much, but he looked good at 2nd the few times I caught him

It's Manfredi time in Birmingham for the Shuckers trying to get the last 6 outs before the Barons get back into this game.

And Ball Game! Zamora a cleanly fielded ball up the 3rd base line and a long throw to the splits machine, Mr. Ernesto Martinez Jr. No problem. Out #3. And Sounds are 9-7. Nice come from behind win there. Team effort.

Especially after seeing their 5-0 lead disappear into a 7-5 late-inning deficit. That was a gritty 'W'. Those two initial tying runs also came across with two down! I needed that after the Mudcats clunker 😅.

Manfredi losing his command. Get the first out. Then walks a batter, and the 3 straight balls to the next batter. And he walks him on 4 straight. Ugh. Not what was needed. Barons had 8 straight retired between Kuehner and Maciejewski, and now 2 men walked. Need to buckle down young man.

This has literally been his trend since late last season in High-A. It carried through the AFL. He's going to have to dig deep. He just can't seem to find the zone consistently. Getting ahead 0-2 here is massive. Gotta follow through. We also have Yeager loosening up in the Pen - in 2025 his outings have been extremely nerve-wracking.😅

Wow. Wilken was eaten up earlier this game on a "single" in an earlier inning. (edited)

But just redeemed himself with a great stab on a ball up the line and a good throw to get Gladney who has speed. What a play. He is a third baseman.

My gods. Mr. Brock Wilken just saved Manfredi with an incredible stab and throw to 1B. Whewww. Two down. Massive play by Wilken. Manfredi rewards him with a slider three feet outside the zone for ball 1 to a lefty.

Incredibly crucial piece of defensive work there. Huge. Huge. Play. I also have really enjoyed how Adams has been handling 1B tonight.

It is a good defensive infield with Adams who is athletic and handled 3rd, and then EBJ at 2nd base that is a very good defensive infield overall.

He didn't get eaten up on that play. Are you talking about the liner through the SS/3B dirt? That was hit quite hard and it had a wild late hop that jumped his glove. That's not on him.

Restituyo continues remind me of what Yhoswar Garcia would look like down the line as a Double-A player. His swing just does not inspire confidence. He reaches for way too many balls for my liking. He gets the infield single to start the ninth but he swung at at least four balls in that AB that were nowhere close to the zone.

OK. I watched it as I was going through the earlier innings, and it looked like a bad hop he misplayed. I didn't rewatch it, but on the first watch looked like something he could have handled, but if it was a bad hop then that's mea culpa, sorry Brock.  Either way he had a heckuva play to save that last half inning, and possibly the game.
