Something brewing for Biloxi?

Pratt walks and gets to second on a balk.

Wilken hits an excuse me swing mini bunt in front of home, and the catcher tries to get Pratt. Wilken reaches.

Warren K for the first out.  Adams and Miller up.  Let’s get some insurance runs!!

The leading run was at the dish on Johnson but he induced the one hop liner to Made at SS who scoops to Adamczewski at 2B for the final out force out. 8-6 'W' as they move back to 10 G above 0.500.

Don’t you love the announcer’s curse??

With Pratt and Wilken on, Adams and gets behind 0-2. Works a full count and has a couple very close check swings. The Clingstone announcer is talking about the reliever who is RHP and he has done well, particularly against right handed batters, and states “he hasn’t given up a hit against a righty”, and cue pitch …. Swing …. No doubt 3-run HR by Adams.  He crushed that hit and Adams knew it!

Flores just gave up a two-run game-tying jack. Lefty on lefty in a 3-2 count. Left that pitch dead center. 3-3 game. The inning started with a brutal drop by ol' friend Hedbert Perez in RF. He completely misjudged a liner. Went too far in casually. Had to race back. Had to leap. That's the second catchable ball he's dropped today as his on-again off-again defense continues. Anywho...when you are five games under 0.500 you tend to have reasons.

How do you spell victory?

G-I-D-P !! 3 DIBP have helped Biloxi pitchers get out of the innings.

Still 7-2 Shuckers onto the 9th.

Warren gets a double to lead off the 9th.

Adams then rips a single to left for an RBI single. Adams swinging and making some contact over the past week or so

Restituyo is beginning to wake up. Two really nice AB's late. He just ripped a double to the deep LF corner.

EDIT:

I once again am pleased to bring you updates from two innings before @biedergb's posts. LOL. I am on geezer patrol baby.

Not sure what happened - But Miller walks - and then they escort Adam’s to 3rd and home. Unsure - but the announcer now stating something about a ball in play and discarded to the dugout. It’s now 9-2 Shuckers. Absolutely finding all kinds of ways to score!

Blake Burke oppo dribbler grounder squeaks into LF with the SS shifting toward 2B and he drives home Perez. 4-3 T-Rats baby! Let's go! Bottom of the 7th. Men on 1st and 2nd for Eduardo Garcia.

You are all good sir. You are watching how many games at once?

Flores will come back out for his third inning of work protecting a 4-3 lead. He will face a lefty to start things off. I wonder aloud if this is the only batter he is planning to face.

Flores gets a K swinging to start his 8th inning. He will face Pacheco again who hit the game-tying 113 mph long ball to deep CF in his last AB. Flores gets the pop out to 3B. Two down.He faces his third lefty. I see what's going on here - LOL. I tuned in late, folks!

The Sounds stranded the bases juiced in their half of the 9th after K'ng with one down for the second out and then Monasterio grounded out to 3B to end the frame. Old friend RHP Enoli Paredes escaped. LHP Bryan Hudson will try to close this game out and he gets the swinging K to start things off lefty on lefty. They lead 3-1.

Hudson works around consecutive two out singles to induce the 6-4-3 DP. We are sitting at 3-0 in the affiliate world. Let's see if the T-Rats can squeak one out. RHP Yerlin Rodriguez is warming up to pitch the ninth. 4-3 T-Rats lead.

And Childers gets a grounder to 1st. That’s 3 outs

Shukcers win. Have won 10 of last 13!!

Big win to open the series.

Yerlin leads the ninth with only his second walk in 7 1/3 IP. He feel behind 3-0. Fought back with some heaters (touched 97 mph in there) then missed high on an off-speed offering. Not what we're looking for here. Let's close this out, Yerlin!

Both pitch 1's have been well off the plate. Not a good look given the historicity here. He falls behind again 2-0 and C Matt Wood and pitching coach Mike O'Neill as well as the entire infield visit the mound.

3-0 way high at 96 mph. Man, I have seen this story before. Sad face. And high again off-speed. Nowhere near the zone. Consecutive walks. Nobody down.

Not good Yerlin so far.  Let’s get out of this.

OK. Strike looking. Foul down the first base line. 0-2. Here we go. He bluffs back to 2nd base. Foul down the 3rd base line. Gorgeous 90 mph slider on the inner black. He gets the first out looking. That pitch was filthy. One down.

Falls behind 2-0 again. Overthrowing a bit again. No bueno. He throws one to the back stop. 3-0. Now we get the WP. Man, Yerlin. Can you ever really trust him? So much stuff. So little consistency outing-to-outing. AB-to-AB. Bases juiced. One down.
