Seeing eye single in the left side hole. Dunn got it Dunn.

Delgado up. Let’s get the runner over at least.

If I ever snuck in a hit in the MInor Leagues it would have absolutely looked like that squibber. Amazing.

So three of the 2020 draft picks in this game tonight (Mitchell, Zamora, Cantrelle). I say call up Warren and call Wiemer (where is he right now?) and get the whole band back together!

Man, year 2 Triple-A Zamora is the best version of Freddy Zamora we have seen as Brewers fans. The game has slowed down for him. Do I love his contact profile? No. Do I love the direction he's trending? Ab-so-lutely.

Naturally, he has a splitter. The baseball gods absolutely know: I love me a good splitter.

And now he’s out. Walks Zamora. Not sure if I am happy having him out as he was sharp, or if I should worry that the next reliever will end this attempt at a rally?

WIemer is an Omaha Storm Chaser. Having another 'meh' season in Triple-A.

Siegler hits it 104mph but right at the second baseman, I mean I don’t think he moved. Dang it. End of 8. Still a 1-run deficit.

And now we will spin the wheel and play "Which LHP Bryan Hudson will we see tonight?"

Callers are ringing in!

Both. First batter looked good. Second batter just lost it. No he’s struggling to get command.

AND, that is the second walk Owen Caissie has taken down 0-2 in the count. My word. Both Jay and Hudson walked him. In my top 3 of 'Least Favorite Plays in Baseball'. The 0-2 walk (from the team I am rooting for, obviously 😅)

RHP Nate Pearson as a Triple-A arm is pretty zesty for the Cubs. He's an MLB-caliber reliever. He can be a high-leverage guy when he is right.

Sounds lose 5-4. Avans K's with a check swing that went. Bats were overmatched late by the Cubs Pen. No doubt about it.

Two out walk. First pitch high heater for a ball and the runner takes second base. Meccage misses with a change up but he has to learn to use it more. Love to see it regardless of the result. Made chases down and makes an incredible running catch down the LF line somehow beating Rodriguez to the ball to end the threat. Whewww.

Agreed. It was something (I can;t find the exact clip) he was working on developing pre-draft with a kick changeup that graded out exceptionally well from a movement standpoint although they can be difficult to command.

Regardless, if the movement has signs of being a plus pitch I'd love to see it in action more often even if it is t the detriment of immediate results. The best way to get better
