How a Brutal Beer War Led to the Downfall of the Brewery That Made Milwaukee Famous

Posted

Not sure anyone reads in this particular forum, but I found this article on Apple News & thought it was excellent.

Personally, I haven’t had a beer (or any alcohol) in over 40 years … but Milwaukee is often known for its breweries - thus the team nickname of Brewers.

If you have some time, please read this article & share your thoughts. As a former (high school & college) newspaper editor, I appreciate good short stories … especially those that are historical in nature.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."
