This turn around mid season seems unfathomable to me.    I’ve seen seen teams do a turn around like this but they were usually expected to win at some point

there is nothing saying the brewers should be the best team in baseball other than actually playing the games

I am not a superstitious person but I don’t know how you explain the Midas touch of the front office and coaching staff this year without invoking some sort of Uecker voodoo.

Why be such a Dick ??

Didn't you like him as our manager?

I sure did.

I liked the results we got from him as manager. never found him very endearing or easy to root for

They keep saying Ashby and Hall are starters pitching out of the pen.  But I think Ashby is a bullpen arm only.   And Hall is a big maybe.

Ashby's stuff is undeniably good. The command sometimes comes & goes. I agree about preferring him in the pen.

Hall, IMO, isn't all that far behind Ashby. But again---consistency.

I almost think Ashby's stuff breaks to much, that's why he has control issues.  If he could ever harness his stuff he would be a top pitcher.

I was not a believer at the time of the trade, but I am now.  I'll be referring to him going forward as "Brewers Legend, Andrew Vaughn".  And maybe give Civale team MVP for changing the complexity of this team.  Thank you, Aaron!

I personally hold no ill will toward Counsell and him wanting to take the job in Chicago.

I also understand those who want to boo him like he’s the devil.

To each their own.

It’s not hate or disgust for me. Just pure schadenfreude. The picking up the bullpen phone before the ball landed video was glorious.

Counsel was on the bullpen phone before the ball even hit the ground

Perhaps he was calling to warn the BP that the ball was coming? Oops... wrong BP.

Same treatment as Favre.   You had a great legacy with our team and you knew (or should've known) what going to the arch-rival meant. He will be booed until he leaves the Cubs.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

The Dalai Lama could be the manager of the Cubs, and I would boo him.

Whenever CC moves on from Chicago, I will remember him fondly and respectfully... unless he's managing the Cardinals.
