Got until tomorrow to find a reliever and a hitter on the infield (not first).   Figure it out.

even though I would really think about making myers a reliever this year.   He could be good in a role like dl hall or even mears

Murphy not willing to hold his best players accountable?  Other guys have been publicly benched at times this year, but won’t sit Contreras the last 3 innings of a blowout when he loafs down the line and costs the team a baserunner????

Murphy mentioned it in the postgame presser. No he didn't bench him but he didn't let it pass w/o comment either.

This won't be a sexy move if it were made, but since the Pirates seem to be willing to unload I'd like to check in on Kiner-Falefa. He would be an upgrade over Monasterio & he can actually play SS. Whenever Ortiz isn't out there---whether it's sitting a few days, being PH for, or whatever---it seems pretty apparent they don't want to shift Turang there in-season, Seigler is not a SS, and even though they put him there late today neither is Durbin.

Independent of the first two games, of course I’m disappointed that we didn’t win and extend our division lead to 3 today.

Doesn't mean that I don’t understand that it happens and even the best teams lose 60+ games a year.

We're fans, of course we are disappointed, but it isn't going to kill us.  Keep winning, and everything will take care of itself.

I like that we have stood back and not made a move today.   If it continues til tomorrow, I feel guys like Henderson and Pratt aren’t going to be in any deals (and obviously not Made/Pena)

Most of the big activity happens in the last few hours on deadline day, honestly.

I'd say you’re probably right, but I wouldn’t count anything out until the deadline expires. I’m pretty sure the Jonathan Schoop deal came together near the very end.
