Mercado sees the bases loaded. With one down, he gets the deep sac fly to CF and Anderson uncorks a high school showcase throw into the dugout behind 3B. LOL. Muddies now trail 4-1. Not a fun inning for Mercado. That was an 8-pitch sac fly. Mercado sits 91 and his off-speed doesn't appear all that impressive to me. There just isn't all that much there tonight. He falls behind 3-0 to the next batter.

8th batter for Mercado after the walk. That's 3 hits, 2 BB, 1 HR, 1 SF, 1 WP for Mercado in 2/3 IP so far. And he misses high and outside. He's falling behind every batter. He is now into the 30's and he is less than 50% strikes. AND, he falls to 2-0. Ugly.

The Biscuits already have Jadher batting second in their line-up. 1-for-3, 1 RBI in his debut. You love to see it! Biscuits lead Columbus 7-1.

Well, I leave to do evening Farm Chores and, lo and behold, the Shuckers are also now losing. It was 4-3. I see 8-4 in the 9th. Yuck! One of those Report evenings where I get to tally a crop of losses. 😅

Is the organization going to get swept today? 😖

Shore looks like it! Hey, do you want to summarize all these losses?

Another brutal night at the dish for one Filippo Di Turi. Been a tough month of July. 0-for-4, 3 K. Struck out in a key bases loaded spot too and looked bad doing it. Thankful for that recent grand salami but it does not get away from: More bad than good in July. Love the player. Truly slumping. Is it Walling level slumping? Heck no. LOL. But, he is slumping.

Mike Boeve may have returned from injury but he looks like the same "That's not the Mike Boeve I remember from 2023 and 2024..." version we've seen throughout 2025. He pops out weakly to SS with runners on 1st and 2nd and two down trailing 8-4 in the ninth. He just has not looked comfortable or dialed in at the plate pretty much all season. <Sad Face>.

RHP Yerlin Rodriguez just pitched a clean 1.0 IP, 1 K, 0 H, 0 WP, 0 HB, 0 BB 12 pitch, 7 strike 9th inning. I nearly cried. Actually, instead I farted. BUT, hey, I just ate. Take it easy. T-Rays trail 3-1 (if you know you know) as they head to the bottom of the 9th.

Wednesday nights haven’t been the best it seems - I usually have a meeting and dinner so miss many of them and seems the last few weeks I’ve thought “Wow I guess I didn’t miss much” - but hey old brain so I may be wrong and the recency bias of tonight makes me believe it.

i will have to look it up later just to see if my gut reaction is close, or way off base.

We have the tying runs aboard at 1st and 2nd after Diaz reached a slicing liner into shallow right CF. Nicasia walked (swoon). Guilarte represents the winning run. Let's see if he can find some magic in his bat.

Er merr gerrd. He squeaks a squibber 2-1 single through the right side. Nicasia holds at 3B - likely a wise move. You only have one down. And you have a hot hitting Alastre at the dish. Bases juiced. One down. He fouls off first pitch to fall 0-1.

And, in an 0-2 count, he hits a jam shot bloop fly to very shallow LF. It's up to veteran, Eduardo Garcia. Let's be honest, this is the guy we want in this scenario given the way this line up is hitting as a whole. Can't ask for more. He already has two pokes tonight.

AND, that's it. Ground out weakly to SS. Ugh. It is indeed a whole organization 0-6 day to round out yesterday's 5-1. The roller coaster ride continues. That was some pretty poor offense throughout the system top to bottom if we're being honest. Ugly night of baseball.

Now I get to sum it up and put lipstick on this piggy.

Oh, hey! When I stepped out it appear my guy Josh Adamczewski smacked his second homer since coming back? 107 mph off the bat. That is a heck of a night at the dish in lead-off.
