Deadline Prospect Comparison - My Curiosity Requests Your Expertise

Some of you are prospect geniuses. 

I know that Fangraphs will come out with something eventually, but I would love to see a Brewer-specific comparison of some of the prospects who have been traded in other deals. For example, who are the best comps in MKE's farm for the players in the Duran trade or the Suarez trade. It doesn't have to be exhaustive, just a single comparison like this:

Prospect X, now a former Mariner farmhand, is very similar to Prospect Y in the Brewers' system.

DeVries in the Mason Miller deal is equal to Made.

BA has the other prospects in the deal as the Padres 7th, 14, and 16th ranked prospects. I doubt they’d make our top 30. Real steep drop off in that system, combined with an insane amount of depth in ours.

Probably a good rule of thumb with those 10-20 ranked prospects in other systems is to drop them like 10 spots in ours.

I will take a stab, as Tyler Locklear is a lot like Tyler Black except Locklear has had production the past two years, so maybe more Blake Burke in comparison? It would like Tyler Black traded in '24.

Juan Burgos seems like a Carlos Rodriguez comp, but maybe Coleman Crow at higher end. Older, more advanced, good stats, but not a top of the rotation guy, but mid rotation to probably back-end/middle reliever. Maybe Chad Patrick at best.

Hunter Cranton is hard to comp since he was a '24 draft pick, but a college pitcher. So maybe more in line with Holobetz who we traded in the Priester deal. I would have said DeBerry but he has no where near the velo that Cranton is reported to have in write ups. But a fringe top 30 guy (or more like top 40 in our system).

So highest end comp is Burke/Patrick/Holobetz, and low end comp is Black/CFRodgriguez/DeBerry.

I will look forward to be proven wrong by the prospect gurus 😉
