  1. Just a few waaaay too early DSL stats: There are 51 teams in the league. Both Brewers teams are top 10 in OPS. Brewers Gold leads the league in HRs, Blue is 8th. Both are top 5 in slugging, with older teams all ahead of them. Gold is the 4th youngest team in the league.
  2. Fun fact from the Wilson pregame show: Wilson has the worst batting average in the league, but the second highest OBP. Ebel and Handelfrey are 1-2 for league leaders in walks.
  3. As we all should. He’s gonna be a top 10 pick.
  4. We’ve drafted him once already too.
  5. Granted I’m only following our box scores, but the amount of power that our DSL teams are showing compared to the opponents is jarring. This seems like an awesome class of IFAs, and the holdovers seem to have taken a step too.
  6. With the new CBA, there have been talks of changes to the draft… I would be very surprised if we didn’t gorge ourselves potentially one last time on high school picks. Feels like we’ve been building for this very moment.
  7. It’s like that at every level. The fact that every stateside team is above .500 is pretty crazy.
  8. Real shame that those poverty franchises can only go 7 innings. This DSL class feels like a special one depth-wise. All the highest rated guys are on the older end, but the 16 year olds are looking like steals.
  9. Could see Rocco being our first rounder. Doubt he falls to our second if he’s signable. Im pretty sure Pratt, Rylan Mills, and Luke Roupe are the only high schoolers we’ve taken in the last 5 years that turned 19 the year they were drafted. If we take any high schoolers, they’re gonna be 17 most likely.
  10. This is from BA's 2025 IFA class review: The Brewers’ class is heavy on position players, but one under-the-radar pitcher to keep an eye on is Venezuelan lefthander Santiago Martinez, who signed for $80,000. He’s still 16, so he’s young for the class and started to trend up later in the scouting process. At 5-foot-11, 165 pounds, Martinez is reaching the low-90s now and generates excellent spin on a tight curveball from a sound, athletic delivery.
  11. Both new DSL catchers with HRs today. Salazar is still only 16, and has thrown out a couple stealing as well.
  12. He’ll be a mix of Perkins and Hamilton. That’ll play on this team more than any other. But it’s not sexy.
  13. I wonder how many games we’ve gotten the whole Rattlers gang together (Pena, Ragsdale, Dinges, Fischer, Adamczewski, Payne, and Bitonti).
  14. It’s in that article. Pretty sweet setup seeing as guys were staying with host families not too long ago. Good to see the Brewers taking care of them.
  15. The amount of bodies we throw at these lower levels…. Even with the biggest signing classes, they still keep adding to them with late blooming pitchers.
