My formula to 1-seed across the playoffs. Crew-current-wins + (Crew-gamestogo)/2. compared with any other team winning 2/3 of remaining. When we exceed that threshold we are the seed king.   Not saying we're going 500 the rest of the way but I think that's our floor. Not saying someone will go 666 the rest of the way but I bet someone will. CUBS could go 666 I'm betting with easy schedule. 

Contreras is the Crews MVP without a doubt. Let's not just look at numbers boys! That guy has managed a banged up mob of young and old and up and down and this and that pitchers to being one of the best conglomerate staffs in baseball this year. "Patches" Contreras I'm calling him. He'll keep em going to game 7 if need be.

All I got, let's sweep the snakes and the bluebirds!!

Again, this isn't an attempt to defend his ABs tonite. They were both ugly.

I don't remember Jansen's other at-bat, but I know one of his at-bats weren't ugly.

Took a pitch on the black of the inside corner, took a pitch on the black of the outside corner, then the pitcher pulled the string on a nice changeup that he whiffed on. Sometimes you just tip your cap to the pitcher.

I considered that ugly b/c IMO it was a changeup in a really bad spot, in the zone but middle-up. But I remember the earlier pitches & you're right; he was painted on both edges to get to 0-2.
