Oddly, 2001 was one of my favorite seasons. The team was .500 at the end of June. I distinctly remember Richard Hidalgo hitting a walk off home run in the bottom of the 12th against Leskanic who was in his third inning of work. Broke my heart.

Sad to see Lopes go. 80 years old. Where does the time go?
