Honestly the Dodgers staff and defense mean we are going to struggle to score more than 3 runs a game against them. The Brewers lack of slugging just wont allow big innings without help from the opponent by walking guys and errors against decent pitching.

True. but my larger point was that against Yamamoto, MOST teams will be challenged to score a lot of runs & are going to find themselves behind the eight ball if they give up five. Not just Milwaukee. That four-AB stretch in the 5th was harmful; on this day it was pretty much a killer.

Including post-season, I believe the guys' given up more than 5 runs once in his last forty-some starts.

I have very little concern about our pitching in general. But this series has shined a spotlight on the same offensive issues that killed us in the NLCS last year. Can't expect to manufacture runs 100% of the time. We've scored in 4 out of 22 innings this series. Never going to win anything with those numbers, no matter how big the innings are.

Most of it comes down to having 3 abysmal hitters in our lineup every day.

I agree 100%, Sproat got the start on Sunday vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers and allowed three earned runs across four innings of work and allowed four base hits, walked four while striking out seven.

Everyone talks like its an even playing field while the Dodgers payroll is approximately 325% larger than the Brewers. That shouldn't be able to happen.

I have more faith in Sproat than Gasser.

Be careful when you complain about salaries disparities.    Even though I would like to see something done all this complaining gives validation to the people saying Milwaukee shouldn’t have a team

the last thing I want is the owner getting sick of the fans and saying we can’t compete and moving to Nashville etc.

the dodgers disparity with every other team in the league is outrageous so something should be done but I prefer Milwaukee to keep their team too

Mark Attanasio is 69 and signed a contract. The Milwaukee Brewers are legally contracted to stay in Milwaukee through 2050.

That’s nice to know.    But I bet $10 that they could get out of it if they really wanted to move.

I suppose, if he passes or a tornado destroys AMFAM Field.  Not sure if Attanasio sells the team.

oof, bad decision Brice.

I think this play was a perfect example of the philosophy that if you never get thrown out running the bases, you’re being too conservative.

I was at the game yesterday and when that ball was hit and I saw that it was in the gap I expected to see Turang going for two. It took a perfect throw to get him on a bang bang play.

In that situation, with two outs and nobody on base, trying for two makes a lot of sense. If you make it, you have a runner in scoring position with two outs. If you’re thrown out, the inning is over and you move on.

Sanchez getting thrown out at third on Saturday was a terrible decision. IMHO, Turang getting thrown out yesterday was the kind of aggressiveness the Brewers need to be successful.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.
