Chourio at the wall?

Loving the Brewers’ from afar in Oregon. 
Is it just me, or is Jackson Churio taking the wrong approach on wall scraping homers?  He always seems to jump into the wall and give himself no chance to rise up and steal one. Can Sal or Garrett work with him some?

I think Chourio is young, and I think this shows up more on defense. I also think he would improve if given more reps in CF.
