Wouldn't it be nice if, someday, we looked back on this night and laughed, because by "someday" the notion of celebrating a .503 winning percentage on September 27 is charmingly naive and quaint?

Yes. Yes, it would.

Don't look back, now, Brewers.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Not that it matters (in fact, it's bad for us draft-wise), but we are now one game out of finishing 3rd for the WC.

Also, our magic number for clinching 3rd in the NLC is down to 3.

Stupid game note:

I was at the game in the left field bleachers, and in one of the later innings, some bonehead behind us tossed one of the big cardboard Overbay O's, and it flew down onto the field like a saucer and hit Carlos right in the butt. To the idiot's credit, it really was an amazing shot, but Carlos did NOT look happy. Everyone snitched the culprit out when Lee was looking, the guy was immediately escorted from the game, and it didn't take long for the crowd to cheer Lee up (he seems to enjoy interacting with the fans). Anyway, on the way out to the field in the top of the 9th, I just happened to see Overbay lobbing a ball and hitting Carlos in the backside when he was about halfway between first and second. Looks like they were having some fun with it. It wasn't mentioned in the game log, so I thought I'd mention it.

And I was at the game when they moved above .500!!

It was also cool to see that Darth Vader was in attendance tonight with the Bucketheads. The "Force" was definitely with the Brewers tonight.

I'd also like to point out that this win guarantees that the Brewers finish no worse than 4th in the NL Central. Of course, we all want 3rd place, however.

great to be over 500 this late, still make the ending of the games intresting.I think we need a starter to go late into a game either tonight or Thur to give the pen some rest.
