8/8/05 - Cardinals (Morris) @ Brewers (Vampire) - 7:05 CST

Today's home plate umpire, Greg Gibson, ranks third among all MLB umpires in pitcher's Run Average. When he's behind the dish, pitchers allow 5.8 runs per nine innings. Hitters bat .294/.361/.489 when he's calling balls and strikes... those rank third, second, and second.

Pitchers probably aren't big fans.

Not that he would have got it but I loved how long time minor leaguer John Rodriquez broke back on Jenks Texas leaguer! Maybe some shots out to left will be nice the next three games!

Jenks hit was lucky as heck, but dumb pitch by Morris

Rodriguez is a horrible left fielder based on that jump he had..

Morris, prior to that inning had walked 7 in 63 innings on the road...so that was very unusual

You're a downer....http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Boy, just can't get away with bad fielding against these guys. They're too good to give them extra outs.

Wonderful. Third base.

COME ON SANTOS! Don't do it to us!!

Something I just learned: Santos' home/road splits are even more startling than his day/night splits......the vamp likes sleepin' in his own coffin at night before he pitches.
