That would be awesome if they put the Radio crew on SAP. Or even if they put sound effects with no announcers there. However, for some reason I doubt that FSN North has those kind of capabilities, nor would they want to admit what insufferable clowns their announcers are.

Perhaps... but Helms seems to have the work ethic to become a decent catcher with a solid bat, not just a good hitter who wears the tools of ignorance.

 

Based on what, the fact that he worked out a half hour a day 3 times a week in the off-season?

 

Learning to catch isn't something any Jo-Schmo can pick up, or most teams wouldn't be sporting backup catchers who hit below .175.

 

It'd be super great if you could just slap some gear on a guy, give him a funny glove and say "catch, call the game, block pitches, throw out base stealers, coach your pitchers, learn all the batters in the league" so on, and so forth, but it's just not that simple.
