who is saying Jorge won't be a stud? The guy looked amazing in his first outing or two of the season. He just needs to remember how to throw strikes.

You're right, Jorge didn't come in after a week off and retire J.D. Drew and Jeff Kent.

If I was Jorge, I'd be frustrated and confused.

 

Heck, even if I weren't Jorge (which I'm not), I'd *still* be confused. It's really not that hard to manage a bullpen better than this. Really. It's not. That's why we constantly talk about how it should be done.

Unsung play of that inning was Jenks hustling in to stop the runner from going to third on that single....that inning looks a whole lot different if the runner advances to third.

What exactly is his job? He gets jerked around so much in the pen that it's ridiculous.

This Matt Wise guy isn't bad... :-) I remember when he was getting lip service as the heir apparent for the closer position. I loved the idea but always thought a closer needed that heater for the K. Well...Wise is definitely the exception. He makes people look silly, especially un-WERTH-y people who cannot pick up the changeup. I loved Werth last year in the postseason, but don't see the same person this year. Too bad. I would have loved to see him don a Brew uni.

Actually the replay showed he was out..he took too long in his slide...foot was not on the base..

 

Not sure if this was mentioned...Weeks 3-4 tonight...HR...number 12....now batting...333. How bad can his defense be?

And we are somehow qualified? We can talk about it all we want, but the fact is, none of us know all the details of every decision that gets made. Its still fun to speculate and have our opinions. But, the bottom line is, Yost and Maddux are a bit more qualified to make those decisions.
