Jenkins 2 walks in one game, I've seen it all.

What would be nice is to have an EVERYDAY third baseman. It seems like platoons can only make your players rusty after sitting on the bench. If Branyan could only hit rightees.

I really think both Helms and Cirillo would play better if they'd be playing everyday. Branyan too I guess.

Anyhow, I suppose I prefer Cirillo to Helms, but one can only hope that each 3rd baseman can understand and get comfortable in their respective roles in the platoon, because right now, it must a weird thing for each of them.

Oh sure, show the Brewer fans tonight. I was out there about 3 years ago for a 3 game series and never got one second of TV time.

because I have eyes, a brain and thousands of baseball games under my belt both having played and watched. People are so fixated on stats (myself included) that they forget that they can trust their eyes sometimes. JC is a better baseball player than WH. He just is. If I never saw a stat of either I would say the same thing. How can things be proven without stats? Its a matter of using your head. Rocky is a better movie than Gigli. I can tell by watching both and using the hundreds of movies I have seen as a frame of reference. Gigli cost more to make but it sucks compared to Rocky. I don't need box office numbers to make that call.

I was very encouraged that they were still struggling though there were in a seemingly unwinnable game. Don't know what it is, but it seemed like there was an attitude switch from the begining of that game.

I think complete games can rev up an entire team. The determination and strive for total excellence serve as a powerful example for the other players.

I've always liked Matheny. I remember once with the Brewers he was hit in the catcher's mask with a foul ball and a piece of his mask broke and cut him really bad in the cheek, but stayed and played the entire game.

that was awesome. I remember the next day someone came to county stadium with a sign that said "Mike Matheny is the toughest man alive". I made the same sign for Jenks when he broke his ankle.
