I think the discussion can officially begin about having lefties back to back in the rotation, since Capuano is clearly ahead of Santos and Glover.

Yeah right now Capy is definitely pitching like a #3, 6 scoreless innings with 6 k's is nice to see.

The Game Notes indicate that only Mike Adams will be making an appearance out of the pen. I think they kept Helling around just in case.

What's the deal with people not wanting back-to-back lefties in the rotation? What's wrong with that? It's not like having back-to-back hitters who are lefty so what's the beef with people not wanting it?

Back to back lefties causes flashbacks to the days when Scott Karl and Brad Woodall pitched back to back in the Brewers rotation.

Back to back lefties in the rotation makes no difference if you ask me.

 

They may not even pitch in the same 3 game series half the time. And who's to say that its not more likely that you wll pitch a lefty the day after another team pitched a lefty against the same team.

 

I understand varying the side of the plate the batters see balls from on a game to game basis, but does it really make all that much difference? We aren't talking about little leaguers . . .

Phew Eric. I was having flashbacks to the start of 1999 when we begin the season with 4 lefties in the rotation...Roque/Abbott/Karl/Pulsipher with Steve Woodard as the lone righty. Now watching that lefty foursome was painful.

Chad Paronto willl likely be at Huntsville or maybe Nashville. He's a career minor league reliever, but does have a good arm. He isn't in the mix whatsoever to make the team out of spring training.

Looks like yet another loss, and another loss thanks to our bullpen. At least we can tag this loss onto a guy that we know won't be on the major league team (and I guy that i have never even heard of before). Great outing by Cappy!

I stand corrected! I guess i spoke too soon by predicting the loss a few minutes ago. If what i saw is correct, Moeller hit a walk off three run homer to win. WOW, i didn't know Chad was capable of such a feat. Then again, it is spring training. I hope he can do that at least once during the season.
