Just because its easy for us to say its likely he goes to AAA because he needs to play everyday, Im positive Dave is doing whatever it takes to stay with the big league team.

As a big Obie supporter, I'm not all that concerned if he starts the year in the pen. I kind of suspected that after Obie relieved instead of started yesterday, that he was ticketed as the long man. It's not like Glover hasn't pitched equally as well this spring. Like Hardytheman points out, Victor's leash has to be very short. Sure spring stats aren't always that important. But allowing 25 hits in 11 innings (a whopping .463 Batting average against) hardly inspires confidence. It's not like Santos is an established ML starter, last year notwithstanding.

 

However, after the spring he's had so far, it would be a shame if Obermueller finds himself at Nashville just because he has a couple of options left.
