alright Peavey, that nickname officially sucks... GB OB is officially gone

It really seems like OOOOOOOOOOverbay is starting to catch on at the Keg with the fans pretty much using the 'Section O' chant from Badger games.......

You have almost your entire pitching staff available and Kinney is the one you go with?

EDIT: I'm sick of hearing that Kinney's been good out of the pen!

dear lord almighty, matt kinney sucks.

you could say he's been effective in relief when the game hasn't been on the line, but then there's outings like this.

This whole 13 pitcher thing was a joke anyway. Half these guys pitch once a damn week out of the pen. Yost will say Obbey was never given a fair shot since he didn't pitch regularily, then let his bullpen rot on the bench.

They better get the rules in the bullpen figured out during the all star break. Right now who Yost picks seems random.

EDIT: Nice to see the Crew blow a 5 run lead. I guess they didn't WANT it enough guys, huh?

Yes Kinney should be able to get Valentin out. Hell, Matt Erickson should get Valentin out. But Yost should realize that Kinney has problems with men on base. He needs to work on that, but not in a 5-2 game but in a 10-2 game.

I realize that there is a lot of latent hatred for Matt Kinney from his days as a starter, but I don't get the venomous reaction to his relief work. Endaround is correct in asserting that Kinney has had difficulty preventing inherited runs from scoring... coming into today' game, he had allowed 1.7 inherited runners to score below average. At the same time, however, his Adjusted Runs Prevented total of 4.9 is third-best on the team, behind only Dan Kolb and Mike Adams. He has been *better* than Vizcaino, though the Dealin' Dominican has been very good at preventing inherited runners from scoring.

This was a bad situation to put Kinney into... Vizcaino or Adams would have been preferable in an inherited runners situation, definitely. But there's no reason to hate on Kinney... he's been doing his job well. Not so much today, but that's no reason to release him.

Yea, now you had to go an apply reason to this. Kinney seems to be better off when startign an inning w/o runners on.

Woops, Adams.

But Yost should realize that Kinney has problems with men on base.

So Yost should realize that even though Kinney was brought in two other times in this series to work out of big jams and did so successfully?
