The Aussies at Nashville

Balfour and Oxspring are both older pitchers who got a cup of coffee, and are trying to get back. Both are doing exceptionally well, though because of their age are not true prospects. I personally wouldn't have any problem with either of them being the 12th guy on the staff. They could still have a major league career, however I don't see how they'll get a chance, barring injuries or the recovery of the incriminating photos of Melvin that Spurling possesses.

Anyone else curious to see how they could do with another shot in the show? Otherwise, there'll probably some team that gives them a shot next season.

Balfour's got the better K:BB ratio of the two, and lost a bunch of time to injury, so if I had to pick between the two, I'd take him.

Personally, I think Gallardo's on his way to the pen and Spurling on the way to the waiver wire, so I don't see either getting a chance (barring injury).
