Is dealing with hamsting injury, according to cardclubhouse, not sure if he will be out anytime, but he is in alot of pain.

This, coupled with C. Zambrano's glove-hand (possible/potential) injury from swinging the bat recklessly, carelessly, and only to try to hit a BP-style home run, makes the NL Central race just a tad more exciting!

According to TSN, "Pujols . . . felt one side go numb from a high hamstring injury on Wednesday night." He subsequently homered, but it sounds like he was being hyper-cautious in terms of running the bases, etc. So, if it's bad, it could wind up nagging him.

I find it interesting that there was no mention of this injury on Sportscenter regarding Thursday's Pujols highlights. No surprise, of course, since it is ESPN.

Honestly, if "sweep" can be filtered, I'd love to see filtering on "ESPN" like it's a terrible word/acronym. Because it's just a terrible thing to have to read & type. Ick.

They mentioned it on baseball tonight including the part about feeling numb.

It was actually Wed that they mentioned it, when he ran around the bases on that HR and was limping. Last night I'm not sure what they said.

Here is the St. Louis Post-Dispatch story about Pujols. Sounds to me like Pujols will exercise "caution" when playing even though La Russa and Pujols both know the risks of him playing through pain.
