First rookie in Red Sox history to throw a no-hitter. That's pretty incredible considering how long they've been around. It wasn't a cheap no-no, either..only 3 walks and 9 K's. Congrats to him; the Hughes/Buchholz rivalry in the future should be fun to watch in the AL East.

only his 2nd career start? amazing. MLB.tv more than paid for itself tonight. I got to watch brewers baseball with bob and jim, and watch the end of that no-no. I hate boston, but that gave me some serious chills!

Congrats to the young guy. I've read a lot about him in the minors and I guess I'll be reading a bit more.

I saw him throw 5 innings of a no hitter in Portland at the end of June and he got pulled due to pitch count. Guess it wasn't a fluke! If you catch the highlights, look out for the absolutely sick play Pedroia made to save it.

in any no hitter you have to have luck and some great d behind you. that play Pedroia made was amazing, he had no right stopping that ball let alone getting up and throwing out the runner.
