I think Gallardo was recruited by some schools to play OF in college.

Gallardo is actually a good athlete. My brother was in Colorado for the dubious Brewers series and told me Gallardo was shagging fly balls and diving and jumping at every ball during batting practice and made everything look effortless out there.
