his avatar his was taken at spring training of weeks, hardy, fielder, and braun, is there any way in the world to blow that up so that it could be printed out into an 8x10, even if i have to pay for it to do it professionally? I would really like that in an 8x10, but whenever I try to do it, all you see are really huge squares.

i have looked all over for a large enough picture of it to blow up. I can only find the small one. It would be awesome to get blown up big to get signed

Yeah I don't know who took it, but I believe it was taken at Miller Park right after Braun signed when he got drafted and he came to take BP with the team. Its also when the took the pics for a lot of his 2005 rookie cards I believe. A 8x10 of that pic would be amazing.

In a closet, on an old computer I have a program that uses some sort of "smart algorithm" to upconvert photo's without significant loss of quality. I paid something like $75 for this software because none of the "free" software even came close to helping me. It works "ok" (actually it's pretty hit or miss).

 

I have a different program on this computer that doesn't seem to work quite as well. Anyway, I tried running this photo through but it looks terrible. Part of the problem is that that photo is a degraded version of it's original. Instead of shrinking the original photo -which keeps all of the quality of the original at a smaller size - someone compressed the original file so much that it left big blocky chunks all over the photo.

That's going to look pretty darn bad as an 8x10 if you try to enlarge it. I'd wait it out until someone finds out where it originated. I imagine it was a photo from a newspaper or something? Or through the Brewers?

I have no idea where I found that picture. I think I actually saw it in a thread somewhere on here, and I selfishly snatched it up to use as my avatar, and its been there for a while now.

 

I'm pretty sure BrewCrewIn 2004 hit it on the dot with why it was taken.
