i looked through the first couple pages and didnt see this. saw it in deadspin this afternoon

A veritable conga line of hurlers will traipse onto the mound at Space Coast Stadium to try and break the record of 5,906 ceremonial first pitches before the game with the St. Lucie Mets. That's gotta be quite the sight to see that haha. I believe the Madison Mallards actually hold the record if memory serves me right.

I have no idea about the attendance they get, but what's their average, my first though was does B.C even draw 6000 people?

You can enter the stadium throughout the day and throw a first pitch. Then you leave. It's not 6,000 people throwing a first pitch all at one -- you'd have to have 6,000 catchers http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif !

I assumed it was kinda a 'you buy a ticket you get to throw out a first pitch' sort of thing that started at X time and went till the game started... if you can just walk in and do it, I wish I was in Brevard County, cuz it'd be kinda cool to do
