Elliptical advice

To make a short story shorter we got an Elliptical for christmas. With in the next day or two or 19...... I will TRY and put it togeather. There are a ton of parts here. DO I need a rubber mat to put under this elliptical? whats the rubber mats purpose? For anyone that has an Elliptical are they easy to take care of? Any tips before I set this up?

rubber mat is only needed if you are putting it on carpet or cement. On carpet it helps prevent it leaving divots in the carpet. If you have some carpet swatches or section you can use that instead of buying a mat.

We put ours on the carpet without a mat. It didn't leave any marks when we move it after 6 months or so. Each elliptical may be different though.

 

Also, I put ours together when we got it. It was actually pretty easy. It took me maybe an hour and a half or so.

We have one, and use a rubber mat over a tile floor. I can't imagine ever wanting to put one together. I would pay extra to have it assembled and set up in your location.

 

We recently moved, and they are especially hard to move, with all the weight in the front. They're also big and bulky with no obvious place to grab them.
