  1. Brosseau should be on 1B after a terrible first pitch strike call.
  2. There are the two walks and HBP that have come in to score now. This is so fun.
  3. So the club is going to pay him an ungodly amount of money to sit on the bench? No. They're going to let him hit his way out of it.
  4. Straight as a string and Yelich can't touch it.
  5. I can't remember the year but I remember one time Sheets sending the LF'er to the warning track. Off the bat, the crowd went nuts thinking Sheets had actually done the impossible and gone deep. My non-Brewer favorite pitcher homerun was Bartolo Colon's HR in San Diego.
  6. I can! Though my avatar disappeared. I'll have to search for Bluto Blutarsky when I get more time.
  7. "I'm the worst commissioner in major American sports!" - Roger Goodell "Hold my beer.." - Rob Manfred
  8. I could see the Brewers making a move for Chris Taylor mainly because he can play several positions. I don't really know how I'd feel about adding his bat but he might make some sense. I am also not very convinced they'll be wiling to spend a lot of money right now. Basically I have no clue about anything but felt I should post something.
  9. I think I might be in the minority that unless the play-by-play is REALLY bad, I don't notice the announcers too much. I've gotten used to the Schroeder'isms throughout the years and I tend to tone a lot of those out. I'm usually doing other things during the broadcast like reading, or looking up nonsense on the internet, fixing something, etc. I really like Levering and Grindle (spelling) on the radio and when I heard him on TV I thought he was fine. Not that he needs my endorsement. As others have said, to have BA at all at this point in his career is probably due to him liking the organization/fans and the Brewers reluctance to let him go.
  10. Let the record reflect, I have taken my name out of consideration for the Mets G.M. position. I'm too busy with a guy on the other line about some whitewalls.
  11. Nobody here was ever close to being an integral part of a World Series run. No one here is being paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to play that role. The amount of money you make doesn't exempt you from the ability of making very regrettable, very human mistakes. Who said anything about being exempt? The expectations should be higher for someone in his position to keep things in-check.

  13. This site sure could use the 'like' feature. A lot of good posts on this page that don't require a lot of "I agree". This is the best one so far. I made a joke about watching earlier but as it turned out I didn't watch at all today even though I was checking in on my phone every 10 minutes or so. Once you get used to the Brewers not being available on Hulu, you miss a lot of games and checking in is sometimes your only option. It sucks.
  14. Sweet that means I can watch it. So they'll likely lose now. Sorry. [sarcasm]You could always just not watch it still. Give the team a chance.[/sarcasm] That might actually happen until the game gets interesting because my girlfriend wants to watch Midnight Mass and I'm sort of into the show now, too.
  15. Here I was thinking I would come home to a big celebration on BF.net of the Brewers throwing any kind of no hitter (*officially) for the first time in 34 years. If combined no-hitters aren't anything special, how come the Brewers hadn't had one in the history of the franchise? To be fair, it was only really one poster.
  16. It's just a strange time to come onto a message board and say you don't like the product.
  17. My take that I no longer enjoy the game as I did when I was a youth due to pitch counts (today's example), 7-inning doubleheaders, and other changes is laughable? Good grief. Has nothing to do with their success this season, I just don't enjoy watching the game as much as I did when I was younger. Haven't you announced several times, not just in this thread, that you no longer like the game? No.. don't.. stop. ... Come back. Please. Just stop watching if you don't like it; let the rest of us enjoy this season.
