  1. Lets get a run or two this inning and have Corbin be worthy of not trading him in 2018 and get back into this one.
  2. The two relief pitchers have done nothing. Literally haven’t shown up. He is, as always, being sarcastic. Maybe you are too and jokes on me. It is. Shoulda sold high on Corbin.
  3. The NL west teams can't all win the division. One of those teams is going one-and-done in the playoffs. Let them getting into bidding wars for players, I trust the Brewers' process and front office.
  4. I feel like they're going to make a pretty big deal, too. I don't know if it'll be Scherzer but a player with a little control while our "window" is open.
  5. Not much to add other than this is my favorite time of the regular season in MLB.
  6. Atta boy, JBJ. Way to make me look stupid. Please keep doing that.
  7. Great at bat Yelich. Really solid work whiffing on two hittable pitches.
  8. You have to laugh at ESPN calling JBJ a great signing. It's not every day you can sign a player for 10 million per year to do next-to-nothing.
  9. Great news all around.
  10. When can we expect some of these guys to sign? In previous, non-Covid years, it seems like some guys would be signed and in the minors for the last two months of the season. With the later draft, can we expect some of these guys to play the last month of the season?
  11. This is the right post. ESPN has gotten so bad (in my opinion) that I can barely watch live sports. Their baseball broadcasts seem especially bad.
  12. Dave Krynzel comp?? Sorry, I'm outta here.
  13. Yeah, it's too bad he didn't hit a two run bomb with no one on base in front of him. The funny part is, he tried to on strike one. Again showing how stupid some of these guys are. At least they're not getting paid Yelich money to be so stupid.
  14. Yeah, it's too bad he didn't hit a two run bomb with no one on base in front of him.
  15. He’s pitched in like 40 games and has 21 saves. And he doesn’t have 15-20 blown saves. He’s pitched in plenty of these situations. Yeah now I remember.
  16. Sometimes a contrarian position is just wrong and can't be backed up with actual evidence, other times a contrarian position can be supported through sound logic and reasoning. Likewise, just because a belief is the consensus among one group doesn't mean it is based in any sound reasoning. We are all human and emotions do come into play in how we interpret things. Obviously, if you went on to a Reds board yesterday my guess is that they interpreted the 2-2 pitch to Castellanos quite differently than the masses here as well as the move by Yelich to 2nd. All I did was point out that there was no actual evidence that the umpiring yesterday was any worse than any normal MLB game (as opposed to the first two games this series), and I even provided the link to the umpire scorecard on page 1 of this thread to support that reasoning. I don't know why you would have such a problem with that. I honestly don't really care how a Reds' board would interpret the weekend; obviously they'd feel pretty good. There have been numerous terrible calls this weekend by this crew that shouldn't matter if the team would just take care of business, but since they've gone into a hole, it's been highlighted how bad the calls actually are. What I have beef with are posters who act like they are, somehow, less reactionary than other fans because they somehow agree with some of the terrible calls we've seen this weekend; Adames' "overslide" today being part the latest example. Why would we have a problem with that? I can only speak for myself in that I don't really appreciate posters telling others that they're overreacting to a bad call when there's literally ZERO evidence of the call being different from the initial call on the field. Please, explain to me what you people are seeing that we're not because when a call is made on the field it should be OBVIOUS that there was a different outcome; not just someone saying "there's a degree of doubt whether or not he stayed on the base." Sorry, I'm not going to let this go. Also, this is an in-game thread where people get to vent.
  17. Right, the dicks are the ones who say it wasn't a bad call, not the people questioning people's fandom because they don't think it was a bad call. It's everything about your "I'm right and there's clear proof" to all your posts, despite the fact that it's just your opinion, no matter how silly it is.
