  1. I think Colon can pitch another couple seasons yet.
  2. Another pick off! Edit - I think he's safe, but they don't challenge.
  3. Man, that was a close 3-2 pitch to Thames and he got the walk. It was probably a clear ball but thought it was close; would be sweet if he were already getting the benefit of doubt on close calls, lol.
  4. And a good portion of the bullpen. Maybe the bullpen isn't that bad and it only just seems that way to me.
  5. They've bounced because he's using that side-arm fling and been inaccurate in a lot of throws. Not asking the dude to 'JJ Hardy-it' over there on a straight line and straight over-the-top, but don't gimme this weak-ass sidearm stuff. He'd been bailed out on bad throws a few times. I love the kid, but just throw the ball with some authority, please.
  6. Nice having Hughes come in to put this game out of reach. It seems to be what he's been good at.
  7. I've never seen Carpenter ejected. Matheny ejected as he walks away?! haha, love it. I dunno, pretty good pitch from Suter to Carpenter. God Bless, America, btw.
  8. I don't know if I've ever seen a Brewers team with more pickoffs at 2nd base. From the catcher, but also the pitcher so far in 2017. Maybe my eyes (and thus my memory) are playing ticks on me.
  9. Jimmy is going to get hit hard on 0-2 again if he keeps throwing the ball over the heart of the plate when trying to "miss".
  10. At least Domingo makes up for his lack of offense for his lack of defense. Or maybe that's vice versa.
  11. Classic Counsell trying to over-manage. Tell Broxton to stay put and not run into an out.
  12. No kidding. And I can't wait to have someone post shortly after the game ends that people complain about umps too much. No way you can cover both zones.
  13. Lance Lynn is "setting in" against the bottom 3 of the order. Congratulations.
  14. Seems like Santana swings and misses a lot at some hittable pitches.
  15. The way they're measuring pitch speed, must be the faster you throw the bigger deviation from your normal pitch speed. There's no way that Rosenthal (who has a great arm) sits at 99, 100'ish. This is a side topic conversation, but it bothers me that MLB does this and puts more emphasis on MPH. I think that contributes a LOT toward arm injuries -- which may or may not be unavoidable when one is throwing that much.
