  1. Nice play by Tomlinson there to end the inning. It was surprising to see Posey make a mental mistake like that.
  2. The Brewers weren't really hoping Carter would suddenly figure out how to hit for average while getting every day at-bats, were they? His tool is that he can hit homeruns, and he'll take a walk, but mainly the homeruns. I have to think the Brewers know that, but I guess Heyman had to add something to that possible non-tender of Chris Carter after he hit 41 bombs.
  3. That is a ridiculous price. You can get a pint of actually good beer for much less than that all over Madison. No kidding. If someone tried charging me $7 or $8 for 16-20 oz of Miller Lite anywhere other than a stadium or concert I'd laugh in their face.
  4. I am enjoying the boxing references Brian Anderson is making about Odor.
  5. Gomez with the leadoff, ringing double. Throw your guys a bone, Villar.
  6. "Pretty good shot at 3,000 hits for Beltre" - yes, Bill, he currently has 2900+ hits, that's a good shot at 3,000.
  7. Jimmy stinks. Biggest disappointment of 2016 for the Brewers?
  8. I wouldn't be surprised if they restructured a bit of the outfield wall (within the confines they currently have) and maybe even move the bullpens somehow; end goal being to allow more field-level seats like those in right field.
  9. Well said, RoCo. From what I remember of his interviews, he came across as a guy who didn't take himself too serious. I know that's probably easy to say from the comfort of my couch and he can basically show whichever side he wants on TV; but, the MLB network guys would harass him all the time about his hair or his excessive cycling and the kid just laughed with them and had fun with it. The Tulo liner back to him was great: "How'd you catch that?" says Tulo while JF is laughing at him and almost asking the same question of himself.
  10. What is bolded, plus the personal stories of his leaving Cuba, etc, is what really is hitting me. It's not often that celebrity/athlete deaths affect me like this. I really enjoyed his interviews; MLBtv really loved him. I don't have the channel anymore but I'm sure there were some fond memories of JF on the show.
  11. At the game tonight. Jimmy looks like crap.
  12. Exactly my point. Yep, Davey Nelson still has a job and he's the worst speaker (aside from Rickie Weeks) I've heard that has a regular gig in front of a camera.
  13. Is that a tattoo on Brault's right arm? If so, that's pretty bad.
  14. Congratulations to the Reds for winning 5 games in a row. They only need to win about another 75 in a row to get into the playoffs..
  15. Why do I get the feeling someone on the Brewers is going to steal a base while they have this huge lead and someone on the Cardinals will throw a fit?
