  1. He swung through a low strike for strikeout 2 today. I know I've seen him swinging at low stuff quite a bit so far. I don't think he has a preference when it comes to swinging through strikes.
  2. http://www.mlbstream.me/baseball/465283/4/milwaukee-brewers-vs-colorado-rockies-live-stream-online.html That link above has been working for me great at school. That feed is pretty dang clear. I'm impressed.
  3. Me too. I know a lot about the Brewers (or think I do), I want to know about the other teams.. even if it's message board 101 stuff.
  4. I have never understand why there is this unwritten snobby baseball fan rule that you must always hate homer announcers. Homer announcers are awesome, Wayne and Larry getting pumped after big Packer plays - awesome. Lucas and Lepay, same thing. I'll take them every time over the standard neutral announcer. In 2008 when the Brewers turned a double play to at least tie for the wild card, Rock's totally homer reaction was amazing. http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/6479266/v3567115/lee-grounds-into-a-double-play-to-end-the-game "I'm not being combative." What is this snobby rule that you speak of? BA is clearly a homer for the Brewers, but he's not over the top about it and can still make objective comments about other teams and that is something I like about him. This reminds me a lot of the "you do not wear a hat of another team" debate on the other board. You're making two extremes here: either they are objective and thus being subjected to a "snobby baseball fan rule" or they be a complete over-the-top homer.
  5. What do you base such a claim on? Scooter Gennett would be a total joke at 3B on his noodle arm alone. Add in his range and we might as well sign Bartolo Colon to roam CF. Mark Kotsay thinks it's not such a bad idea. Nah, it's not a crucial game in the NLCS just yet.
  6. I'm not being combative, but why? What does he do that you like? It's what he doesn't do. He's not completely fake like Sutton was, of the announcers I've listened to on MLBtv he's probably the most objective about the team yet still maintaining obvious allegiance to the Brewers. For what he does do, I think he and Bill have pretty good chemistry, and I can usually tone out most of the stuff I know is repetitive and just pick up on them when they're joking with each other. A lot of the things people find annoying about announcers - in any sport - have been things I can just stop listening to since I know it's just recycled garbage or the same analysis we've heard over and over again knowing that every broadcast team everywhere does that and it's the nature of broadcasting, especially baseball where you have a lot of dead-space to fill with some sort of banter.
  7. He definitely said Manny Pina right there. And then followed it up with Pena.
  8. I've listened to others. I like a lot more than BA. There's some I don't like. Anderson is such a nationally touted guy but his picture is in the dictionary next to the word vanilla. I look forward to the day when he finally becomes too big for Milwaukee and he moves on. Hopefully taking Rock with him. If the alternative is Daron Sutton, I'll take BA every.single.time.
  9. Not sure why this would bring out an angry crowd. It's not like Moeller will play, but if he can bring some good advice I don't see why it would hurt. Can you only have so many coaches in MLB? I learn this, then forget, then someone tells me and I forget it again.
  10. "Just what the Brewers needed".. 90 pitches? 5 innings?! Should be fun to see how the bullpen blows this.
  11. Not sure why we expect Villar to have situational awareness if our coaches don't have it.
  12. Pretty easy throw for a right fielder coming in and chucking home. Whatever.
  13. They were both easy plays for a major league SS. Look at how many more pitches Peralta had to throw. I don't care about wins and losses this year, I care about playing the game the right way. They have been the opposite early on. I was being kind. I was annoyed he missed both since both were plays that high schoolers can make on the reg.
  14. Neither were 'easy' plays, but two plays that Arcia needs to make in this inning. Not worried about his D at all but those are plays I hope he makes in the future.
  15. Never seen so many consecutive strike-3 looking's in all my baseball watching.
