The deadline feels like kind of a bust as a Brewer fan. I still think this team wins the division but they really need guys to step up and stop screwing around with empty at bats (easier said than done). They need more out of Peralta, too.
That being said, I'm not sure I wanted to give up any of our prospects for what may or may not have been available; and again, I don't know who was really available or what level of discussions were had.
It feels like the window for this team is just getting open, and I think they'll eventually move prospects for a controllable player (maybe not to Yelich's quality in 2018 but similar?) next year or the year after.
As far as our offense the last month, I have to think part of it is getting into the dog days of summer and some guys may just be getting tired and making strange adjustments to compensate. Not sure what to really make of it as I'm not about to do any type of film studying of players' hands or loading mechanisms.
