  1. Keep hitting, kid. Man he's so fun to watch.
  2. It was interesting to read a postgame thread from the Dodgers fans' perspective. You could swap out the names from the Dodgers and insert the Brewers and it would be the exact same messages we read here. I'm not being critical of anyone because I complain here just as much as the next person, just interesting. I think when people like to high-brow and talk like they don't get emotional about in-game threads and fans here are terrible haven't really seen or read what other fans say about their teams. The Dodgers have a TON to be excited about in the playoffs. Yes, they're not perfect as no team is but they want Dave Roberts and everyone fired yesterday. They were complaining that Shohei was a bum in his last X amount of games. Very interesting stuff.
  3. Too bad. Was it disclosed what the issue in his back was? Will surgery allow him to just maintain and play through some pain with some time off here and there or was it ever said if the issue could be resolved. Those with back issues always have back issues, so it seems. Poor guy. This sucks.
  4. I wonder what some of these guys are looking for up there.
  5. Frelick and Turang looking to walk or what?!
  6. I don't understand the move to put Mitchell at 3. It doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, but it really makes no sense.
  7. Yuck Ortiz. Frelick showed the extent of his power there.
  8. I'm going on Saturday so you can already pencil that in as an 8-2 loss. 9-3 maybe. Either way, it won't be close, as every game I have gone to in like the last 5 years has been over before the Brewers could even wake up.
  9. That was about the least surprising outcome.
  10. Yeah, not sure I get what Contreras is thinking there.
  11. Geez Mitchell. You'd think he'd start looking up or he just can't touch it anyway.
  12. I definitely hear you. Been a LOT of Brewer games that I have watched where they looked like they were going to have a big offensive night only to quit after the 1st. Looks better thus far tonight.
  13. "Unequivocally right" ... well, okay then. I guess we'll close the book on it.
  14. I'm looking forward to watching Wiemer play for the Reds. I know it wasn't going to work out in Milwaukee barring some serious changes and progress but I liked the way he played and felt like he could be a Gorman Thomas type player for us at his peak.
  15. The deadline feels like kind of a bust as a Brewer fan. I still think this team wins the division but they really need guys to step up and stop screwing around with empty at bats (easier said than done). They need more out of Peralta, too. That being said, I'm not sure I wanted to give up any of our prospects for what may or may not have been available; and again, I don't know who was really available or what level of discussions were had. It feels like the window for this team is just getting open, and I think they'll eventually move prospects for a controllable player (maybe not to Yelich's quality in 2018 but similar?) next year or the year after. As far as our offense the last month, I have to think part of it is getting into the dog days of summer and some guys may just be getting tired and making strange adjustments to compensate. Not sure what to really make of it as I'm not about to do any type of film studying of players' hands or loading mechanisms.
  16. He's probably not throwing out Mitchell but if our CF made a catch like Kelenic made i would be livid.
  17. "Well, we gotta do something!" - Matt Arnold, probably
  18. Mitchell swinging through middle middle fastballs doesn't inspire much confidence.
  19. Ozuna hitting an absolute tank off Rea is about the least surprising things ever.
