Yeah I was shocked that Vogelbach still has a job. Every so often I catch myself either going down rabbit holes on reddit about previous trades and remember names that were just a flash-in-the-pan in MLB to pretty good players who kind of disappeared. Littered throughout history are these types but Vogey sticks out a bit. Gotta think his ability to PH and hit the ball 450 feet is a big reason why he's still collecting a check.
What's Rodriguez' repertoire? Obviously have heard his name coming up the prospect ranks/levels of the minors, etc, but really don't know much about him.
Kind of the way I feel, too. He's forced into a role he probably shouldn't be in and he's still keeping us in games. Lately it seems as though the offense hasn't been scoring much for his starts so his mistakes are magnified.
I didn't say he sucked. Of course you know that.
I said he has trouble putting people away when he's ahead and he's walking too many. Both of which have been true throughout his career.
Offense just needs to have better at bats with runners on 3rd and less than 2 outs. Really poor last two games. Yeah the Phillies have good arms but it's just bad.
