  1. Capra has been there to be a warm body until he can be DFA'ed when so and so comes off the IL. Problem is, he's been seeing way too many at bats; same with Haase. Pittsburgh gave MKE a taste of their medicine with their "starter" tonight and Murphy bit on it and batted Haase for some unknown reason. He should be seeing about one or two starts a week. Tops. To have him and Capra back-to-back in so many games is a bit of a head-scratcher other than they're just trying to get guys added rest with the break.
  2. It's not really fair because it's not entirely their fault, but having two AAA players (at best) at 8 and 9 really hurt. Would rather break it up with Monasterio in one of these spots if Haase must catch.
  3. Got them right where we want them!
  4. Anything he can give us is gravy. Just need someone to eat some innings and take their turn and hopefully turn in one or two decent starts. This is a tough place to pitch for guys in their rhythm. I'm willing to cut him a small amount of slack.
  5. I like this lineup. I would like to see Ortiz over Monasterio but I understand Murph may be nursing him a bit with his neck.
  6. I was "fine" with Frelick hitting for Chourio because it put another good defender in the vast OF. Hoskins not getting the run in was frustrating but really tonight was a typical game in Colorado. I was hoping we'd steal it but after the 10th that went out the window.
  7. Runner on 3rd and there was one out. The Brewers walked the next two hitters.
  8. Great to see Mitchell back. He just has the 'look' of a star player.
  9. Wilson bound and determined to throw the ball down the middle of the plate tonight.
  10. Does Z get a second inning? Only about 10 pitches there.
  11. Is Willy like 0-his last 30? Man, this guy streaks.
  12. Probably just get hot at the right time. They need some more arms that are potential impact arms; getting Williams back will help.
  13. Feels like Happ hits most of his home runs against the Brewers.
  14. This Devin Williams interview has been really good. Really like hearing from Williams, "we all just want to win. I want to win. When young guys come up, we get them ready to help us because we want to win." Love this mindset. This is how you win, not with hazing nonsense and making people uneasy.
  15. 26 pitches and already once through the order is pretty crazy.
  16. Myers is literally in the middle of the plate.
