    Of course Mitchell and Hopkins can't manage to get the job done.

    Everything is under a microscope when the team isn't swinging the bats well and making outs on the basepaths. Run prevention (with this staff) is only going to go so far. The offense needs to be better and the veterans need step up. At bats have been terrible by far too many for a while now, including the veterans and the younger guys.

    Yeah.. just hard to believe Mitchell was thrown out on that play. He must not have gotten a great jump. Turang looks tired. The team looks tired in general.

    Y'all.. Murphy having his kids or grandkids at the press conference has no bearing on how the team does. If upper management or players had an issue with it, they'd tell him. It's probably time to just let this issue die.

    Pete Alonso is on the last year of arbitration, correct? Likely to sign a decent contract? I know he's having a bit of a "down" year but would be curious to know if the Brewers are kicking tires. No way would I want to part with a serious prospect for him, so likely means it would never happen. Who knows if the Mets think they're still competing, too.
