Wilson bound and determined to throw the ball down the middle of the plate tonight.
  2. yfinn6
Does Z get a second inning? Only about 10 pitches there.
  3. yfinn6
Is Willy like 0-his last 30? Man, this guy streaks.

Probably just get hot at the right time. They need some more arms that are potential impact arms; getting Williams back will help.

Feels like Happ hits most of his home runs against the Brewers.
  6. yfinn6
    That was really stupid.

This Devin Williams interview has been really good. Really like hearing from Williams, "we all just want to win. I want to win. When young guys come up, we get them ready to help us because we want to win." Love this mindset. This is how you win, not with hazing nonsense and making people uneasy.

Great bunt. That's a nice quick out.
  9. yfinn6
26 pitches and already once through the order is pretty crazy.

Myers is literally in the middle of the plate.
  11. yfinn6
Quick at bats all around. Myers needs to get through this inning. The Cubs will mess it up if we can keep them off the board.
  12. yfinn6
Might be the only 2 runs the Cubs score today.
  13. yfinn6
Man, ya hate to see Cubs fans turning on Counsell. Just a damn shame.

    Ortiz hurt?!
  15. yfinn6
    Grand Salami time.
  16. yfinn6
Not sure what was up with that steal attempt but it looked like Turang was looking in and not running.
  17. yfinn6
    Hopefully it's Boeve moving up.

I understand wanting to break up the righty-lefty matchups. I don't always agree that it needs to be a strict adherence and sometimes it's nice to balance the lineup. I think Ortiz needs more at-bats, period. I don't know that it needs to come at the replacement of the guys at the top. I think you could get a little more creative and start Ortiz at the top and Turang at 2 against a righty and the world wouldn't stop spinning.

    Perkins pickoff really hurts now.
  20. yfinn6
Is it just me, or this a really awkward interview with Braun?
  21. yfinn6
    Was thinking the same thing.

Your age has nothing to do with why you don't recognize any names on that list.

We asked for tickets out of the direct sunlight but they were sold out (we walked up to a meaningless game last July between the Rockies and Athletics) and we sat in the sun for about two innings before we walked around looking for shade. I assume you can find open seats in the shade when you go, but be prepared to be in the blaring sun if no seats are available for purchase and you're not feeling risky with sitting in someone else's seats. It was my second time being at Coors Field; the other time I sat in the outfield and mainly stayed there the entire game as the group I was with was having fun with some locals. The product on the field is garbage but the stadium offers some fun sights and plenty of places to eat (and park) in downtown Denver.

I'm guessing Rage Against the Machine isn't high on the list.

Transitional year for us, too. I get the angst and it's been something I'm guilty of, too, but we also need to keep things in perspective. That being said.. arms that we should have been counting on are going into 25 with question marks or are outright on the IL. Sucks. We hoped 24 would solve (woahh) those problems.
