    This is Graduation Weekend in Boston.. BU, BC, MIT, Harvard among others are all in the general area have Graduation events going on, so many out of towners have taken up the hotel rooms. Hotwire and Priceline are your best bets.. If you can find a hotel on the MBTA line, the get it, it's a breeze getting to the park via train. I still haven't decided if I'm going or not..

    In an interview Colby posted in the other thread: LaPorta was drafted in the 14th round out of high school by the Chicago Cubs, which was his favorite team growing up). Great, we drafted a Cubs fan.. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif No wonder he's all ready hated!

    He's listed as a R/R but in the MLB description it says: Physical Description: LaPorta is a big, strong left-handed power-hitting first baseman. So which is he?

    I don't know if he reads this board or not but the Brewers Clubhouse store manager swears that if Moustakas is available, the Brewers will select him. He says he has sources!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif But seriously, the last guy the Brewers picked that played Catcher and everywhere else was pretty good and that was BJ Surhoff. Didn't he play C, SS, 3b among other?

    Wow.. I got to go to my first game there, and I'd have to say I was impressed. It very well does have that Lambeau mystique about it esp the Monstah.. Another thing I do have to admit, is I liked the Fenway Franks too.. The Dice-K craze was something to see too. The biggest suprise though was the local fans.. They were very nice and very knowledgeable, esp about the Brewers. They were impressed with the whole team and with JJ being mentioned the most. Some even talked about Braun and Yo~! One thing I did find interesting is they talked about Sheets and about his Gold Medal pitching performance. That seems to get forgotten about here in Milwaukee. If you go to Fenway, you must do the tour too.. Sitting on top of the Green Monster was priceless.. plus walking were Teddy Ballgame once stepped. Yankee Stadium and Camden Yards are next!!!

    If the Red Sox are in trouble, why don't we trade a veteran starter / reliever who has had great experience with teams like LA and Cincy (Elmer "The Glue" Dressens) for that rookie Japanese starter.
