  2. I got that quote in Boston too.. I was just in Baltimore last week and went to Camden Yards with my JJ Hardy Brewers jersey on. I got a lot of compliments about Milwaukee and the Brewers, even a few about Braun. Other than Chicago, the worst place I've gotten ribbing about the Brewers has been in Houston. They really hated Prince Fielder, booing, name calling etc plus going on the tour of the ballpark, the tour guide brought up that Biggio was a better player than Robin Yount and Yount was in the Hall and Biggio was not which is a crime, yadda yadaa.. I just told him, 2 MVP's plus one of the greatest seasons by a Shortstop ever..
  3. Last night was one of the most intense WD episodes in awhile.. disturbing and shocking to say the least...
  4. wait, is that possible now?
  5. I think a lot of Brewer fans are just venting which is normal. I think this forum is doing a great job of letting people vent and for the most part, people aren't attacking each other which sometimes happen.
  6. this was from the JSonline article http://www.jsonline.com/sports/brewers/brewers-ryan-braun-suspended-by-mlb-for-rest-of-the-season-b9960048z1-216536551.html
  7. He's off the roster now.
  8. the fan situation is a lot like the whole Brett Favre fan reaction.. it'll take time to blow over for some, and for some it never will...
  9. Here are some Brewer player reactions.. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/216536161.html Lucroy "But I think it takes a bigger person to forgive them than to sit there and wear them out the rest of the time and hold a grudge against them" Weeks "Wasn’t this an admission of guilt? I don’t know. When it comes on TV, I will probably talk at a later date." I wonder what Rickie means?
  10. Dang they are even going after Aaron Rodgers now... it's going to be a tough next twelve months or so for Wisconsin sports fans... http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/aaron-rodgers-put-salary-ryan-braun-being-clean-235553423.html
  11. some strong comments (tweets) from some current and past players. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/baseball-world-reacts-to-the-ryan-braun-suspension-on-twitter-224624624.html
  12. So who's next to get suspended? Yunski? Seriously, do any other Brewers have that Miami connection?
  13. So if Braun does a plea deal, is 150 games a best case scenario? ugh According to one of the baseball sources, MLB is believed to have brought up the possibility of a settlement in its meeting with Braun, who might also consider a deal, as would other players involved. “That might be a victory for both sides,” said one of the sources, referring to the fact that a plea agreement would preempt the arbitration process and might salvage money and save face for everyone involved in what has become a highly contentious process. 14. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/06/rockies-interested-in-gallardo-garza-gregg.html Add the Rockies to the mix..
  15. the last Cooper that played first base for the Brewers turned out all right.
  16. Can you consider Loretta "Great" defensively? Good, yes.. but Great? I don't remember him having great range or a rocket for an arm. Or are you going by fielding percentage?
  17. Don Money >>> Mark Loretta Don Money in his day was known as a great fielding third basemen. For all time Brewers "bench".. I'd definitely have Don Money(1B,2B,3B,SS,OF) and Charley Moore (C/OF) too.. Another name you could add, would be Kevin Sietzer. The rest of the bench would be the left over first basemen who wouldn't be a starter on the team. (Scott,Cooper, Sexson, Overbay, Fielder) (No room for Greg Brock)
  18. Tyrone Hill should be added to this list.
  19. We also drafted Scott Boras's kid Trent (3b in the 30th Round, committed to USC).
  20. Doubt he's signable. but it would be nice... http://www.perfectgame.org/players/playerprofile.aspx?ID=241694 BréShon Kimbell is a 2011 C/1B with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Mesquite, TX who attends Mesquite HS. Very strong physical build, plus upper body strength. Good balance hitting, bend knee stance, quick hands, good bat speed, solid pull contact, keeps it simple and easy, smooth out front, projects well as a hitter, has power. Needs to be followed. Very good student.
  21. Renaldo Jenkins.. Round 19... http://uabsports.cstv.com.../spec-rel/111510aaa.html He is a very good runner, a solid defender in the infield, likes the short game and will be a strong gap-to-gap hitter -- all things that are a part of the way we play here. We believe that when he concentrates on baseball alone, the sky is the limit."
  22. Round 18: SS Christopher McFarland http://www.tossitaround.c...r-the-2011-draft-39.html He has a potential to be a big power hitter at the next level
  23. 17th Round Mario Amaral Ronald Regan H.S./Miami, Fla. Catcher, 6-1 205 (Bats Right/Throws Right) Shouppes’ Comments: “Mario is a big kid who swings the bat really well. He’s a right handed hitter who is one of those guys who’s best baseball is certainly in front him. He’s a little raw and not quite where he’s going to be but he certainly has a very high ceiling. He’s a 6’1 205 pound catcher and Perfect Game has him ranked among the 250 top collegiate prospects in the nation. Mario is going to be a pretty good player for us and a pretty good catcher.” http://www.wctv.tv/fsuspo....html?storySection=story
  24. http://www.gatorzone.com/...er_bios/tommy_toledo.php Cool name...
  25. Round 10 Mike Strong Mike Strong, Oklahoma State Strong has already been through this routine before. The White Sox drafted him out of an Iowa JuCo in the 25th round two years ago, and last year it was the Athletics doing the honors by calling his name in the 22nd round. Strong pitched well last spring (66 K and 36 BB in 64 IP) and has been even better this year (39 K and 8 BB in 30.2 IP), but I should warn you that he’s not some high-upside superprospect. Strong falls into the Adam Warren category of “solid college senior,” meaning he’s likely to contribute in some capacity but not necessarily at the front of the rotation. It’s okay, guys like that are absolutely useful. Listed a 6-foot-0, 187 lbs., Strong gets ground balls with an 88-91 mph fastball and a curveball in the mid-70?s, deceiving hitters with a slightly lower arm slot (higher than sidearm, but lower than 3/4). That package is good enough to project his floor as a lefty specialist, which is great return when you consider that he’s again expected to go in a double-digit round. http://riveraveblues.com/...-for-some-lefties-45705/
