  1. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif that one was epic could stand alone, for all time I'd guess it won't though
  2. Seems the squeaky wheel has indeed gotten the grease well, at least this time
  3. Can't be later than July, as my lease is up at the end of the month
  4. Irony, Brew Crew, what fails to kill haiku night will make it stronger (Sorry man, I couldn't resist anymore -- I didn't even know about haiku night!)
  5. 'deee-ul', was the reference, I'd bet.
  6. I know the 'Jenks owns Reyes' was already mentioned, but look at Eckstein against Cappy! .357/.500/.429/.929 (14 AB)
  7. Adding Harden, as Brian mentioned (no trading of YoGa or Braun), would be huge. I wouldn't want him for the rotation though --- but to replace CoCo after 2007. Arm issues? Move him to the back of the pen now, as opposed to after his 4th & 5th overuse injuries
  8. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif hilarious (to pic) tooooooo slooowwwww
  9. bucksman...na na, na na, na na, na na, Sheets-talk...na na, na na, na na, na na, stu-pid!
  10. In wOOgiE's original post, the Braun tracker includes a note on "Singles to Ryan Braun" My suspicions have risen...does this mean singles past him, or singles that maybe could be scored as errors?
  11. I really suspect Benny's gonna be on tonight. Closed roof? No wind? BENN MAAAADDDD!
  12. Yes, and you'll come up with teams that "should" have made the playoffs or whatever, but the reality is different. Russ, the reason I call run differential simplistic is because I believe that's just what it is. Used in concert with other factors, it can certainly be used to derive much more complicated stuff. But to me, the bottom line is still embodied in the example of Saturday's game. Even though we were outscored by 10 x, we still only get one loss, and the 'Stros still only get one win. I understand, too, how run diff. adds up over the course of a season and can come close to predicting a team's record, but the bottom line is that it's not how many games you could/would/should have won, it's how many you actually do win. Sorry if that comes off as condescending! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif p.s. -- Glad to see you back on these discussions rluz
  13. One question: Do you trust ESPN that much? This is the network that brings you the W-L race in pitching....
  14. "JUST" an idea? JUST the greatest idea EVER! This needs to be planned, and well. We should have a backup/rainout day for the softball portion, but you never know. Maybe we should just ask Mark if we can use his ball-field during a road trip! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  15. Look for him back in Yankee pinstripes as early as this season if the Yanks can't start winning games with so many SPs injured. Many in the Bronx are calling for Torre's head already. Even so, I'd imagine this is Joe T's last year anyway, which is one reason why I think Girardi didn't take the Cubs job. Well, that, and that it's the CUBS, and then the YANKEES! Bucky --- Live it up, then! Make a party out of it! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/glasses.gif
  16. Just like losing one game (in a series we took 2-1) 10-1 to Houston skews our differential. All run differential tells you is how many more or less runs you or your opponents have scored. To me it's not particularly useful, bc it doesn't really predict anything. It can, however, work well in concert with other facts.
  17. Brewers, Brewers, keep turning up the HEAT!! It's a feeeeevaaaa! !Muy caliente!
  18. Although not as "thinky", I like this, from JSOnline -
  19. Great work wOOgiE! Careful, though -- you're setting the bar real high for yourself! Especially nice work with the banner tribute.
  20. amen. And before stat-ies jump on that notion, I know what run differential means, and how long the season is, etc., etc.
  21. no, there's just another thread on this
  22. Found this on mlbtraderumors.com. Don't know what his "bc of the rules" comment is all about, but what do you guys think could be the Marlins' bounty? Red Sox, anyone? Lowell's their 3B for now, but by then, who knows? I'd bet LA/A/OC/SCal would be a decent fit, too, with Vlad & the big (sunny) market as alluring
