  1. I would definitely do Weeks/Vargas for Willis. He's the only infielder I'd potentially move at this point. He hasn't shown any consitency, granted he has been hurt a lot, but that's another concern.
  2. Apparently SCOTT BAKER and BOOF BONSER are studs........
  3. www.doublediamondsportsma.../home.html video of a nice opposite field homer for darren
  4. I had the same idea as you Crewin2004.. Drink some brews, maybe grill some burgers or brats, and watch the game with the lady....Two days in a row? come onnnnn
  5. That Braun tracker is pretty cool, 3 hits, 3 doubles, good start. Great job on the graphics by the way, they look awesome. It's early, but we have to limit losing streaks(obviously). That's where Sheets comes in. I love watching him pitch
  6. What a pathetic start. Terrible route by Billy, terrible throw home by Fielder.
  7. I agree Hall4pres It was nice to see so many good ABs, productive outs. Halls RBI in the 1st, Counsells sac fly with Benny waiting on deck. I'm sure there were more that I don't remember. When Hall goes to right like that, like his homer, it's a good sign for him(and us). Not to mention a pretty sight. I look for Billy to hit #2 tonight, since he RAKES lefties
  8. Random question: Is it going to be a straight L/R platoon at 3B? I assumed Graffy would get more starts but being the righty he would have to start against righties for that to be the case.
  9. Raven, that's one of the best quotes ever. Those 4 guys all looked impressive today. Rickie and Billy smoking the ball as always, Prince is amazing going to left, but most impressive to me was JJ's pop. Man, was the ball flying off his bat, he had some nice dingers.
  10. BLISTERS!! Up 1-0 in the 3rd (today) against 11th ranked Juco in the country, until the fattest blood blister I've ever seen swells up on my throwing hand
  11. Need any LH pitchers at Concordia? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  12. Please excuse my ignorance on this, but can someone please explain to me what LOOGY stands for or means.. I know it's a left handed reliever, but beyond that I'm lost....Is it any left handed middle/set up guy? Or is it a lefty that's solely to get lefties out? Or?? (removed excessive punctuation -TC)
  13. Genius. In a video game I added Estrada and Romero, moved Braun to right, and took the Crew to the World Series.
  14. Yowzers...I wouldn't trade Yo for penny straight up....
  15. "The Brewers should use Mench's terrible stint with Milwaukee to really low ball him into taking a smaller contract, something like one year, 3 million, and then trade Jenks and platoon Mench with Gross in LF. Just an idea." I really wouldn't mind this. I don't think Mench will net that much in a trade and shouldn't be too expensive. Probably better off keeping him and trading Jenkins for pitching.
  16. LOL Game05 that was classic. Unless they really plan on starting him I was thinking they were throwing that out there for that reason, if you're going to dump him might as well make him sound more attractive, act like we know something other teams dont know.
  17. Or is it a value boost?
  18. I'm fine with the deal. I think I'd almost take Vargas over Davis at this point. Davis has topped out in my opinion. Vargas had solid numbers and has good stuff, Maddux works some magic on him and I think he could be a really solid 4/5.
  19. I was half joking and half serious about the height factor. The bigger issue is what you touched on about his power, I guess I'd like to hope he has potential as a good 5/6 hitter with a good combination of power and speed. Maybe even a 2/3 hitter where his stolen bases might have more of an impact. Obviously he'd have to continue to improve to hit 3rd but I don't think thats out of the question for the future, maybe not next year.
