  1. Per JSOnline: Nats F. Lopez, 2B C. Guzman, SS R. Zimmerman, 3B R. Church, LF A. Kearns, RF B. Schneider, C R. Fick, 1B N. Logan, CF J. Simontacchi, P Crew R. Weeks, 2B J. Hardy, SS P. Fielder, 1B B. Hall, CF J. Estrada, C G. Jenkins, LF G. Gross, RF C. Counsell, 3B D. Bush, P
  2. Not in the lineup for the Monday day game either, what is that three games now?
  3. Does Corey play today or does he rest up for the three LHers Pit is bringing later this week? I think he might play tonight but tomarrow i doubt it. Id like to see Gross get a start today in RF leading off if Weeks is resting still.
  4. Is Zack Braddock a shoe in top 10... top 5? Just wondering what others think. I know its still early but his numbers are impressive he is a LHer with a great frame and only 19, but only a year removed from 31BB vs 30K in 39IP. Just hope he dosnt revert to last year.
  5. Braun Tracker: 2AB 1 homerun 1 double 2RBI so far today
  6. Parra's line: 7IP 5H 2ER 1BB 7K. When does he get to AAA? Mid season? Earllier? Or is it when the orginization gives up on Dickey?
  7. Different year, and you really cant help the Moeller problem because Miller couldnt start every game, C is different, and our OFers are supposed to be the Crews run producers... middle INF? You mean our current problem at 3B? You have to put someone there. Not following with that one. Just Ned going with the hot hand.
  8. Maybe just Ned sticking with his "going with the hot hand". And you cant have two OFers playing to get through their slumps(Hall, Hart). Though it does seem a little odd with Hall's sucess against Reyes.
  9. Thanx Mas, really informative. I love the guys with an "out" change with a 90+ fastball, hopefully he gets that fastball back to the low 90's if he hasnt already. thanx again.
  10. Corey Thurman? I read on him doing well in winter ball and i see he is on the non-roster invite list, just looking for a scouting report on him; velocity, control, pitches. Is he a possible bullpen guy or do you see him sticking as a starter(AAA,AA)? Closer? Edit: Please be clearer with subject lines...
  11. " it seems that Josh Fields is being moved to the outfield" Just wondering where you might have got that info at? I couldnt find anything on that. So why would they go after Erstad? They already have their OF set Pod Anderson/Mackowiak and Dye factor in Erstad and Ozuna. Granted they could use some power out there.
  12. "We don't need him, we have an overload of of's the way it is so why bring someone in to move one more to the outfield, it just doesn't make sense." If we dont sign the three that are possible FA Mench Jenks and Clark, we are left with Gross Hall and Hart for next year. I like Gross but as a 4th OFer. Then the Crew could leave Braun at AAA longer. But I did not know about Crede's back problems. Is it a disc? anyone know?
  13. With a younger Josh Fields almost ready for MLB action does anyone think Joe Crede could be availible? And if so, how much? They may need starting rotation help and we could move Braun to LF. Of course it will take more than just one SP, but just how much? Just throwing this out there, i have no idea if Crede would be availible. Thanx.
  14. Jenks cant hit a slider. He is a rh Jenkins but younger a bit faster and has played all OF spots. Just doesnt seem like it could happen without getting rid of one of our OFers first and i dont see Boston in need of an OFer. But id love to have Pena no doubt
  15. Isnt Mench a streaky player too? If i remember right he had 6 or so games in a row in which he had homered. IMO, i look at it like either Gross or Jenkins, i like Gross' upside and speed over Jenks everything. Gross can also play any OF pos. Plus we need a 3rd OFer who can hit lefties(Mench). But if we could package something for an upgrade over Mench and Jenks full time im all for that.
  16. vs. rhps 1Gross lf 2Hart rf 3Weeks 2b 4Fielder 1b 5Hall cf 6Estrada c 7Koskie 3b 8Hardy ss vs. lhps 1Weeks 2b 2Graffy 3b 3Hart rf 4Fielder 1b 5Hall cf 6Estrada c 7Mench lf 8Hardy ss my hope is that we move Jenks at the least if not Mench also. But i would like two see Gross get his chance at least against the rhps, which he rips against. Just working with what we have now. But id love to move a run producer like Weeks down if possible, not many RBIs to be had with 7 8 9 holes in front of you. Hart may be an option to some but he also is a natural run producer more value lower IMO.
  17. So most of us want a pitcher with a high K rate(because a K is a dead end, page 5,6) but we dont care if our team is one of the top teams in SO(batting) every year. You can be aggresive still and not strike out you do have three.
  18. Anyone think Teahen could be had since they have a stud in Alex Gordon at 3b in their system, AA last year and far better numbers than Braun. Or would they just move one to 1b? Probably cost to much?
  19. Ok that last part may be true, but you cant get on base unless you make contact, and you polished defenders behind the plate so you rarely see the passed ball third strike. Cut Weeks Ks and his chances of getting on base obvisously increase. If the Brewers had pitching and defense they could afford to K as much as they do, ala the Tigers. Just simply stating Crisp is a better option at leadoff then anything the Brewers have on the roster now IMO.
  20. Dont they still need a closer, or do you think closer by committee? Sorry, im a little slow...
  21. I like to compare him to Roberts of Baltimore, granted they dont play the same position but simular numbers before CoCo broke his hand. He has the speed, doesnt K, switch hits well. Weeks is not your ideal leadoff hitter. He is to much of a free swinger and misses far to often.
  22. Just think the team would benifit more from defensive standpoint and it wouldnt hurt the team to add someone who could steal a base with success(SB/CS; Hall 8/9, Hart 5/8, Weeks 19/5). Yes they have speed, I guess what I mean is Id rather have Crisp over Jenks/Mench/Brady. Love to see this: 1 CoCo cf 2 Hart rf 3 Weeks 2b 4 Fielder 1b 5 Hall lf 6 Estrada c 7 Koskie 3b 8 Hardy ss You could plug in Gross anywhere on one of the OFers day off. But looks to good to be true. CoCo and Weeks could be the Pierre and Castillo the Marlins Had with more pop.
  23. Id take him in a heartbeat, he puts the ball in play(doesnt K) has speed which our team lacks(besides Rickie). Youd have Crisp and Weeks 1 & 3 and then Hall with some speed in the 5. Someone capable of scoring from first. It also takes the pitchers mind off the hitter sometimes. I look at this team now and i see a lot of possible stranded runners just going station to station, base to base. Also would improve the D. IMO team speed and defense is more important than the dinger, round tripper.
  24. Ks are a dead end... true it is a dead end but Ks usually mean high pitch counts and thus giving away to the bullpen to early and in some cases the wearing down of that pitcher faster throughout the year.
  25. Why is everyone hooked on Ks, i would much rather have a pitcher ala Madux, Lowe and the such, I am a huge fan the the ground ball pitcher. He would eat up more innings then Vargas.I would much rather see that kind of guy on the mound at miller park. Besides it also keeps your defense on its toes with a pitch to contact guy.
