  1. Hearing that Uecker walk off call was awesome. Glad to have you back young man.
  2. If I was playing second I'd have tackled the guy and then tackled security for their ineptness.
  3. This guy is a joke. I don't usually lead to rash decisions, but good lord.
  4. Sewage dumping is heavily over blown by the MKE media. More sewage ended up in Lake Michigan before the deep tunnel was invented. Milwaukee's water treatment facilities are some of the best in the nation due to the overhaul in everything after the crypto outbreak. I know it stinks and bad. I was home and on the lake but as NMF said its because of algae and not sewage. I never had any qualms about swimming in the lake.
  5. That's odd. I had Uverse when I lived on Lyon and Astor during September 2008 No problem. Happy to help with info on DTV
  6. I think its the one from the last game in 2008 when he is rounding the bases after hitting the walk off against the Cubs.
  7. I have DirectTV but I would also look in to Uverse. I had Uverse with my roomates and it was great, but had DirectTV for 5 years before that. As to your questions about DTV. They pro-rated your cancellation fee at least about 3 years ago. The break fee was $175 I think and we broke it with 5 months left on a 2 year contract, so we paid roughly 20% of that $175. Also you can move for free, but they will make you sign a new contract. I never cared about that because I was so happy with DTV. Their customer service was always outstanding. I used Time Warner for Internet and never had a problem, so I think your idea is a good one.
  8. If the team is run anything like it was last year its a total joke. Don't really like to blast people on an internet forum, but the ownership and management of the team in general is just ridiculous.
  9. Exactly! There is nothing this kid has done that should take him out of the closer role. Its been one of the few positives of Brewers pitching all year.
  10. is this a two inning save or do we have a different closer?
  11. I used to work for USCC, so I can comment on the policies from 2.5 years ago. As to buying a new phone. If you get one from Ebay, Craigslist etc. make sure it is a USCC one or they won't activate it. Technically any CDMA phone will work, but they won't activate a non USCC one. If it is a USCC one there was a $15 fee to have them activate the new phone. I always thought the fee was [expletive deleted] and I wouldn't charge it a lot of times especially if the person was cool. You are correct in your thinking that if you are in a contract and want to purchase a new phone from them you will pay retail price (usually min. $150 ish) because the original cost of the phone was subsidized by USCC in exchange for the 2 year contract. Last option is going down and throwing a fit. To be honest if you argue enough with them up to the store manager they will usually give in or do something. Not a good option but still I have seen it work.
  12. That's why a PS3 is nice http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gifTrue, but I am an xbox 360 guy. That being said I have looked at switching to Playstation from Xbox in part due to the BluRay, but neither the Xbox or the Playstation can match the mac mini (or any computer for that matter) when it comes to being able to play all file formats and the sheer number of things that you can do with it. I just wish Apple would get their crap together and put BluRay on the Mini. There is a huge community HTPC people out there that are dying for this. I know that Apple isn't catering to them, but I really think they are missing out on a big segment of folks. The Apple TV just didn't ever fulfill its potential, but a Mac Mini with HDMI and BluRay would make my setup complete.
  13. I was really hoping that the new Mac Mini would have BluRay. If it did I would have bought it in a heartbeat. I still may use it there but it would have been really nice to have the one device that controls everything.
  14. Lucroy needs to be playing the majority of the games. That is all.
