  1. I have no words. It is a testament to the talent on this team that they won 96 games with Ron at the helm. Basically defense in CF cost us a few runs last game so we throw out a significantly worse defender in CF the next game. And bat him 2 because well thats where our CF bats. Amazing. EDIT: He is 4 for 12 with an .871 OPS against Carp and Gomez has never faced Carp. Guaranteed this is why. Still have no words
  2. I agree with all this. It would have been nice to be up 2-0 and in the driver seat with Yo and Grienke going in STL, but I didn't expect to win all 4 games at Miller Park. I always figured we would have to win at least 1 there. With Yo and Grienke going I really feel like we will go 2 for 3 there and return home with a 3-2 advantage. Even Wolf might throw out one of his random 7 inning 4 hit starts. Our pitching staff can't really pitch any worse than they have and we are 1-1 in the NLCS. Yesterday was a very depressing game to watch, but thankfully it only counts as 1 loss. I'm sure much of this has to do with the fan base (myself included) not being used to every game mattering like they do in the playoffs.
  3. Ron did actually run out there and argue the call. I'm sure it wasn't televised because it was at the end of the inning. One of the few things he has done right this game though.
  4. Exactly. Can't we for once just enjoy where we are at? We are one of four teams still playing ball right now. What happens next year happens but I'm enjoying that tubby dude right now.
  5. but I dont know if many on this boar understand why you feel that way. If it is something that is truly discussable lets discuss, but it really feels like an issue being made out of nothing with any substance behind it. I am still failing to see what he has said or what sympathy he has asked for.
  6. Exactly what I was going to say. To OP: I am also confused as to why you would bring this up now. After we just won the NLDS for gods sake. If you are referring to Prince being emotional last night IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS TIME IN MILWAUKEE RUNNING SHORT. It was an emotional win and he is an emotional dude. That's what happens. This issue has been beat to death. Why can't we just leave it alone. Prince hasn't asked for sympathy and he hasn't talked about anything so I see no need for him to "shut up" since that is what he is doing already
  7. They were pretty easy to get and we paid $60 a ticket for sitting in 407 last row for the first two games of the NLDS on Craigslist.
  8. There is this guy at my school who is a Cardinals fan. As misguided as he may be he is a pretty nice dude, so they have at least one good fan. That's all I have. I hate the Cardinals with every fiber of my being and I would like nothing more than to absolutely destroy their hopes and dreams in this series.
  9. not sure if serious about the last part but this was funny. I'll be there skipping class to scream my head off. I lost my voice last weekend and I plan on doing the same tommorow.
  10. Why the heck is Gomez putting his hand down on the back of the bag?
  11. Not sure why people are bagging on Weeks. Over his last 7 days he has a 308/400/538 line and over the last 28 days its 243/391/351 He hasn't look good this series, but he has been far from McGehee since coming back.
  12. Well, someone was warmed up. He put the guys on base, but got squeezed against young and then gave up two ground balls. Men at 2nd and 3rd with the way he was pitching was trouble. He has looked awful since first pitch and that RRR was leaving him in there when we were only down by 2 is incredulous. He was waiting for him to "find it" He definitely didn't take him out when he got in trouble again.
  13. To be fair, there was no way Yuni was getting to that and if I had to stand out there and watch the crap that Wolf was throwing up there I would be pretty dejected too.
  14. and he also said if he starts to get into trouble again they'll have to get someone warmed up. Pretty much the two options here. O rly?
  15. Ron said in his little interview that he thinks Wolf is going to "find it"
  16. The thing about being negative is I expected the Brewers to score 4-5 runs this game and with the 5 spot AZ put up we are basically losing that "advantage" we had. All Wolf had to do was go 6 innings 3-4 runs and I would be confident we win the game. Instead we get 8 baserunners in two innings and 5 runs scored.
  17. not as sad as the seat of any brewer fans that has traveled to AZ for this game.
  18. AND THE TIDES HAVE CHANGED!!!! Get a run and pull this choker. 53 pitches through 2 innings about says it all.
  19. Awful. Can't field his position now either. I am fully expecting a 3 run bomb now given the way everything has gone in AZ
  20. Are you kidding me? How can you not be pissed about grand slams in back to back games. They totally flopped with the opportunity to go to the first NLCS ever and then first thing that happens is a 5 run first inning. Yea lets all sit back and crap rainbows out of our backside about the past 10 innings.
  21. "I'll be ready. It's exciting. I want to get out there and I want to pitch and I want to contribute." - Randy Wolf So much for being ready and contributing.
