  1. .849 OPS for McGehee. Even better than his career against them. Only 135 AB's but still.
  2. http://jerkassclothing.com/images/NEW/full/brent2_full.gif That Brent guy wasn't too bad
  3. I don't hold this against him. I hold him choosing to answer this reporters question this way at this time of the season. It has been emblazoned on ESPN and all of the local media outlets. I don't know whether or not this is distracting but why take the risk? This franchise has won the division once in their existence and we should be taking every precaution necessary to make that happen this year not talking to the media about foregone conclusions that could wait until after the year is over. Shut your mouth, give the PC answer and go out and hit some home runs to let me enjoy you while I have you.
  4. Glad we keep going with the guys that got us here. Why can't Green and JHJ play more?
  5. This has always been my favorite braun pic. I get chills just looking at it. http://ladiesdotdotdot.files.wordpress.com/2009/04/home-run-braun.jpg?w=376&h=275
  6. JHJ in for Weeks and Green still on the bench, meaning Yuni and Mac still honorably manning the left side of the infield.
  7. Lovely. More crappy fundamentals. Can't get pull your bat back from a bunt attempt on a ball at your shoes and then watch a strike go right down the middle of the plate then ground in to a double play. So glad we keep sticking with the guys who have got us here.
  8. I honestly could care less at this point about Nyjer. He dropped some f bombs as he was walking back to the dugout. Worse than that gets said on the football and basketball field/court. But baseball is a gentleman's game so we need to make sure Nyjer stays in line. Was it the most becoming thing for him to do? No. But as long as it stays there I don't care and he hasn't crossed any line yet so I am not going to judge him on what has happened in the past. His hustle, genuine love for the game and the fact that every one of his teammates love him is enough for me to not care about "incidents" like this. There was a time where athletes weren't held up to some moral and social code. They were what they were supposed to be, playing a game and having fun doing it. Nyjer embodies this as much and more than most ball players these days.
  9. Nyjer was talking trash to Carpenter from the moment he struck out. From what I can tell there wasn't anything that Carpenter did that would have led him to do that. He was staring down Carpenter as he walked to the dugout and then Pujols came running over telling him to go sit down. Because he is god of baseball Nyjer was tossed and Albert was allowed to stay in the game.
  10. Really don't understand why Nyjer was chirping at Carpenter there.
  11. Per McCalvy; Brewers shortstop Yuniesky Betancourt said he was OK late Friday after being struck in the underside of his right elbow and exiting a win over the Astros in the eighth inning. The Brewers said Betancourt was day-to-day, and he did not require x-rays. Also per McCalvy; Why all the lefty hitters for #Brewers? Norris, with his nasty slider, holding RHH's to .203 avg./.282 obp/.338 slg. Lefties .288/.358/.468. I get the rationale and for hitters who are around the same stratosphere I get it. Hart is a much much better hitter righty lefty or otherwise. Putting kotsay in just because he's a lefty is silly. Yes this is a special team but we haven't clinched anything yet and were just swept by the cards. I'd just like to see decisions that make sense as opposed to ones that make me scratch my head.
  12. So Kotsay and his .622 OPS against RHP is starting over Corey Harts .842 I am assuming Yuni isn't starting because he is hurt, but CC has a .456 OPS against righties this year so lets hope its for this reason. Corey Hart has been our best hitter not named Braun or Fielder and the fact that he is sitting because he is a righty and Kotsay is a lefty is just mind boggling. RRR has gotten much better but decisions like this make me question him.
  13. just come out and win tomorrow. We would still be up 9.5 then
  14. Who? Why? Fielder's job is to back up the cut-off man, which he did. Are you trying to say he should have been lazily and stay at first? http://www.qcbaseball.com/images/situations/first_double_rightcenter.gif condescend much? I am aware of how baseball works but thanks for the diagram. There were 2 Cardinals standing at 2nd when the ball went to the plate. Prince needs to get over there instead of standing around watching.
  15. someone should have been covering first. not sure how you can even begin to argue otherwise. It was terrible base running that should have been two runs. Can definitely blame Wolf for getting in that situation. And solo shot? The bases were loaded? In no situation could a solo shot have happened. didn't say anything about solo shots. someone should have been covering first.
  16. someone should have been covering first. not sure how you can even begin to argue otherwise.
  17. Edit: GAH PEM beat me to it
  18. Wow! Better late than never I suppose. About time and a promotion well earned. Also love that we can now put to rest the question as to whether or not Green was on the PTBNL list for KRod.
  19. http://cantedmagazine.files.wordpress.com/2010/04/24-jack-bauer-0031.jpg I've been waiting to use this one
  20. Glad we are up 6 runs but Tim Dillard is not good. Would be nice if he could get through the last two though.
  21. Allegedly they are going to be continuing to develop WebOS but no more hardware (tablets, smartphones). Basically HP is saying we bought Palm and all we are left with is this stinking OS. WebOS is a pretty cool OS but I would have liked to see a lot of the features to have been expanded outside of just the Palm lineup. Really looks like HP botched the launch of the Touchpad which could have been pretty great. Don't really get it.
  22. Would love to know what happened there. Hopefully we get something juicy in the post game presser. Just keep winning boys.
