  1. 3 time batting champion, 7 time all star and 6 time gold glove award. The guy is a decorated ball player in Japan.
  2. 292/.358/.360 was his slash line last year. But he is one of four Japanese players to get 200 hits and has ab average slash line of .336/.411/.472
  3. ummm ok. this has to be the precondition to something else. This guy isn't going to ride the pine is he?
  4. As law students are taught in law school... it depends. Without his contract there is no way to know this. It could be entirely possible either way.
  5. I saw that too. Didn't like it at all, but there probably is some truth to the dude being lazy. But lets be honest, if you were playing for the Cubs you wouldn't want to do much either. I am hoping a change of scenery and the chance to win a ring (which he doesn't have) will make the phantom injuries go away and he will work hard here.
  6. Agreed this is ridiculous. All people were doing was commenting on speculation that had been raised by sources out there and all of sudden we are talking little green men.
  7. anyone farmiliar with this type of testing (pebadger) that can speak to how something related to a VD (which is what is being tossed around by the blogs out there) could cause the results that triggered in Braun's test?
  8. I don't know if it is two different labs. What happened was they tested the first sample. It came up with a more than 4:1 T to TE ration. This triggered the more extensive testing. They sent it back for gas soemething or other testing and this is when the synthetic T was revealed. Then Braun was notified and he requested a second test. They tested him and the T to TE ratio was in line.
  9. Eh whatever. He's a good bat, but his defense and general laziness leave much to be desired. Plus he is on the wrong side of 30. Just don't get why you use the limited resources you have to fill a position that could be filled internally. This is exactly why Green should have been brought up and started at 3rd when Weeks was hurt. Then you'd know what you had in Green and he couldn't have been worse than McGehee. If Green was a stud you don't have to lock up $35 million for a guy like Ramirez.
  10. I named my dog after you Braun. That's how much faith I had in you. Seriously. I am speechless.
  11. Wish I was going. I saw him at the Pabst after For Emma came out. He had 3 other dudes with him and it was amazing. 2nd best show I have ever seen. The thing that was amazing about it was the hush that came over the crowd. Usually when you go to a show there will always be background noise/chatter in the quiet parts of the songs. You literally could hear a pin drop there everyone was so in to what was happening on stage. This was a few years ago and I haven't seen him since, but I would expect nothing less than an amazing show.
  12. Did Allen Craig do Aaron Rodgers' title belt celebration there at the end?
  13. The only major moves I'd like to see made are to replace our SS and CF to shore up our DF. I like Plush, but think his value is high right now and if we can turn that in to a GoGo who is a lefty (or hits righties competently) I'd love to see a slick fielding CF out there. Along the same lines for SS. We need a slick fielding shortstop, whether thats a JHJ type player or a youngster I don't care, but I can't stand seeing another season with Yuni, we need a much better defender out there. I think McGehee is gone and they replace him with Green. I'd like to see the better OF defender of Hart/Gamel play RF and the other play 1st. I think Counsell retires and replaced with JHJ who can spell the entire IF in a Bill Hall type role. I's like to see KRod offered arby so we either get the picks or he comes back on a 1 year deal. Having Ax and him at the back of the bullpen is amazing. Not that I think Krod would take it. Would love to see both Hawk and Saito back, but I think one of the two and possibly both will retire. I don't want to see Dillard or Loe anywhere this team. Not sure how the pen shakes out but as long as Ax and 1-2 of our big boys are there I feel good about it seeing as how many innings our starters (who will all be back logged).
  14. about the only good thing I can take out of this right now is that I can get back to the 1st semester of law school. I hate it more than anything and losing to the Classies makes it that much worse. Looking back I will be able to respect and appreciate it for what it was: the best Brewers season and team in my lifetime, but right now I am too bitter.
  15. I'm not glad its over. It being over means we didn't win the WS. Did people hate on the belt during the Packers run last year? Who cares. These are guys are out there having fun and its not like they were crazy about it in the 7th being down by a bunch of runs. It was a quick gesture they did instead of clapping their hands and pointing to the bench. We aren't the Cardinals and thank god for that.
  16. Well I will be at the top of the stadium 408 row 24. Leaving Madtown in an hour to get the tailgate going.
  17. what the heck? Why did they change the start time?
  18. That's because protection is a myth propogated by the media. There isn't any truth to that theory. I also agree no way you sit Weeks. He looks much better and as someone mentioned has actually hit well this series. I wouldn't tinker.
