  1. I saw the trade half way through the Brewers game on FSN. I couldnt stop and think about it because I was working, but 2 things came to mind RIGHT away. 1. I like it. JK is terrible at the plate. cubs gave away a pitcher too? nice. (this has been said already, i know) 2. I HATE IT! JK's batting stance has been unbearable for me to watch for years now. For some reason i think of these silly lists in my head. He has topped the list for years and I was happy when he went to the AL because that means I wouldnt have to see him anymore. Now that hes back in the division, we get to see that all the time now. ARGH!
  2. hes hitting well this year. .312 AVG .320 OBP .466 OBP 16 SB hes always been pretty solid with the leather. only 2 errors this year. from what ive found hes getting $1.5M this year. i dont know about the rest of his contract though. Heres the link that got me thinking about this. its short and just says that he may be playing his way out of affordability in the future. sports.yahoo.com/mlb/rumo...=mlb,38706 the only question i have is why has he only started 44 games? was he injured? is jamey carrol that good? (better than his .212 avg shows?) for those of you that think hes "just another utility infielder, we have one and his name is grafi" i think that is ridiculous. just like the brian roberts trade proposal (which i would love btw) KAZ is a definite upgrade over grafi. hes a bench player. he wasnt even wanted on the team. we got sort of stuck with him due to the unusual arby situation. we should have gotten a pick, but other teams realized he isnt good at playing this goofy game called baseball and wasnt worth said draft pick. hes been "heating up" i guess, but his stats this year plain stink. i think the majority of us will say weeks wont simply get fixed all of a sudden. a trade to at least split a lot of time would be nice. i think this more of an option for us AND colorado than the roberts proposal. roberts is too valuable. kaz is not. colorado has a top 5 offense. they have a bottom 5 pitching staff. i cant think of a proposal because of a few reasons. -what do we do with grafi, who i dont want on the team. -what pitcher could we give colorado, parra? maybe grafi, $250,000 and one of our 3 or 4 major league ready AAA pitchers for him? i think he is that much of an upgrade. it gives a .500 team with struggling pitching and good bats a slightly lesser 2b but nice BP help or maybe parra for cheap.
  3. good to hear. thanks.
  4. Dear Mr Gindl, Why havent you played since the 5th? Thanks, Tom
  5. ask will inman. he may know. man, i hope he starts pitching better soon!
  6. looking forward to watching it. i just hope they dont beat it like the Y&R dead horse.
  7. i think i remember carlos saying he wont ever participate in the HR derby again after that poor 2nd half.
  8. RUSSELL THE MUSCLE!! 1 run HR top 9
  9. ya, that differential it pretty amazing. Kat, even with his BB's is jeffress dominating the batters down there? does it look like hes simply a man amongst boys? his small sample size of his stats seem to indicate that. or has he just had a few great starts in a row? id like to hear any more information or even your opinions on him. all i ever get to see from any of these guys are their box scores.
  10. ok so i had a brainfart. i knew that. DUH.
  11. i was toolin around milb.com and saw that mike mcclendon started his career last year at helena. (which is a rookie league right?) his stats were nothin great last year. he did, though, start the year off this year with the power. his numbers looked pretty good. 62.2 IP (5-2) 2.87 ERA web.minorleaguebaseball.c...pid=501873 he is now pitching at BC. i have a few "why?'s" -WHY did he start the year @ WV in the first place? -WHY, after his nice start, did he get demoted. I feel like I am missin somethin simple here. On an offnote, how do i put that long link into a hotlink?
  12. i was not impressed at all last year with his small sample size. i wasnt too worried though because from what little i know about the minor league process, the league he was in is more worried about personal improvement in terms of velocity, location, etc than stats. I just checked his stats (i must have missed the last 2 games he pitched) and hes had 3 games started in a row without allowing a run. Heres his stats. web.minorleaguebaseball.c...pid=502026 sorry i dont know how to hotlink it. anyways, these numbers make me very excited. although its a small sample size, it looks like there is a possibility to have 3 #1 caliber pitchers come up 3 years in a row. (barring injuries of course) Yes, i know im hopeful, jumping the gun, not taking into account the other pitchers we have had that dominated down there, etc. lets just hope that our organization finally starts making these minor league phenoms into major league success stories.
  13. i thought he was supossed to be signed by this past weekend and playin in WV by now. any news?
  14. at least we have our meat comin up to bat. theres A plus.

  16. milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com...p&c_id=mil check that out. as far as i know it is a fullsize bat. youll still get the prinsanity bobble. this is brand new. there was a press conference before the game yesterday. it was announced then. heres the other bf.net link in "major leagues" p092.ezboard.com/fbrewers...4850.topic
  17. i bought a 2 pack of club on club tickets for june 3rd for $222. that is the day you get the signed pink bill hall bat. i bought them for my girlfriends parents. i just found out they will be in florida. i cannot go because i work in the club and i cannot go to the club on days off. i am stuck. i would like to sell the 2-pack. in case you have not heard about the club on the club, it has an all you can eat buffet. usually 3 or 4 different types of salads. 1 shaved meat entree. 2 other entrees. (usually 1 fish entree and a veggie entree) an "action" station with any number of things they decide to make right in front of you that day. (fajitas, omelettes, whathaveyou) ballpark food (brats, burgers, dogs, nachos). cheese and cracker trays. youll get free miller lite, mgd, wine, and soda. i am sure i could get more $ if i had an auction on ebay, but i am in a hurry to get the money back, so all i am asking for is face value of $222. whoever messages me first i will contact and we will figure something out for exchange. i am leaving for miller park right now and will not be back here until midnight, so expect a response around then. thanks.
  18. im in whitewater and my box says it should be on right now, but im getting fox sports top 50 sports blunders!!!!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  19. I haven't seen much on him here. I also cannot find much on him online. Has he played at all since we signed him? What has he done in his career? What are your thoughts about what is to be expected in Nashville or thereafter?
  20. Doesn't anyone else see Hall not being here in a few years? Behind Sheeter, he is, in my mind, tied for 2nd on the club in terms value in a trade. He strikes out so much because he swings for the fences a lot. He's an extremely popular player, just like Lee and Scotty Po were when they were here which will help in value. If there is one person on the team that definitely has the ability to be playing w/ us in a few years, I think he has the biggest chance of not being here. It seems to me he wants to play on a bigger stage. Don't take this post the wrong way though. I'm not saying that the Brewers are in the market to trade away talent once they come into their own. And I love the guy. Absolutely GREAT attitude. Works hard. Just a thought that I thought was pertinent to tha convo. Thoughts?
