i love mothersbaugh, and the soundtrack works he's done is top notch (Rushmore is the high water mark) i don't think to much of the theme to wild thornberries the bouncing souls did a theme song to some reality show that was on fox for a summer in 2001...and it's a good tune...but i never saw the show...so it doesn't really count in my mind... shouldn't you be picking a song from the walker soundtrack, mr strummer guy?

Anything that's called emo pre 1997 or so isn't really connected to what is called emo today...the "emo" scene was originally bands like rites of spring, embrace, and dag nasty...thats the first place i think the term is taken seriously... now those bands have little in common with weezer, the get up kids, asnd sunny day real estate---the bands that get the emo tag in the 90's...not really punk rock anymore...certainly no real connection to the early hardcore scene... the late 90's early 00's emo bands --- taking back sunday, new found glory, jimmy eat world... were certainly influenced by those early 90's bands, but they had a clearly different sound...they were more or lesss influenced by blink182 and greeen day more than anything else... what we have now as emo is certainly connected to the punk rock scene...but not to bad brains, black flag, and minor threat like the early dischord bands were...or even to husker du...the bands we have now are more an offshoot of early 90's pop punk...and late 90's hardcorebe that the christian kind or not... weezer, sunny day, etc...get the emo tag because of the lyrics and the aesthetic, but they do not fall under the generic emo tag that gets attached to everything that sounds sorta punkish today...

yeah, i was pretty dissapointed when Mears crashed, because it was setting up to be a very competetive run to the finish...i doubt newman wins without that caution...it was a good finish though...

if crashes are what you want, simply go to youtube and type in nacar crash and you'll get about 24 hours worth of wrecks..

i watch all car racing...i watch nascar the most simply because its on the air the most f1 is cool, but it's traveshamockery compared to nascar...

in aaa, the average salary is 80k...everywhere else it's much lower...guys in low a ball make 12ish k thats why signing bonuses are so important...if you only get a 5 k signing bonus out of high school, you aren't making squat until you hit AAA...

i don't have that album, but bumblebeetuna was on "Ska the third wave, volume two" from skanachie records which was far and away my favorite ska mix for a very long time...it had the mephiskapheles song, an awesome cut by less than jake, introduced me to the planet smashers (whom i still like) and a bunch of other funny cuts... that's a good rec. though, i forgot those guys existed... got the wheat cd yesterday...it's pretty good...reminds me of an artist named "Bleu" from a few years back...thanks..

considering that kendall doesn't even have doubles power, wouldn't it make sense that his babip is lower...i mean, i wouldn't expect a guy who only hits weak grounders and popups to have a high babip

i buy tons of stuff there...they've got flat shipping rates...which is much beetter thaan having some jerk charge you like $6 for shipping on ebay...never had any trouble...just oder from somebody with a high feedback rating, and you should have no problems

the original world series baseball on genesis...i hit over 100 hr's in a season with paul molitor in that game -
i coach high school softball and we do stuff like that all the time...in high school sports people can sub in and out as long as they stay in the same position...so you start the strong defensive player, then pinch hit for them and let the good hitter go out..then switch the defensive pro back in later in the game... basically, you get two ab's out of your best pinch hitter instead of one, and 2-3 innings out of the defensive specialist instead of just 1-2... it's larussa level shenanigans, but hey it's high school softball....

I bought the national skyline, wheat and dramarama cd's...i've done the sister hazel thing in my distant past and i've heard a tone of straylight run, though not that album... keep them coming guys, i'm serious about buying stuff here...
